As an HR Manager in Hannover at Via, you will support the 300+ employee drivers who power sprinti, the largest on-demand public transit service in all of Germany. Your responsibilities will span employee engagement, attraction, retention, recognition, HR support, training culture, and process optimization.

This is a hands-on role where you’ll jump in wherever needed - solving problems on the ground, supporting employees, and collaborating with our local Operations and global People teams to improve how we operate and scale.

**This role requires in-person presence in Hannover 3 days a week**

What You’ll Do:

  • Manage all aspects of the employee driver journey, including issuing employment offers, registering employees in our systems, onboarding, performance management, training, disciplinary actions, leave management, and offboarding.
  • Be the real-time problem solver: respond quickly to onsite issues, driver concerns, or operational blockers as they arise.
  • Serve as a go-to point of contact for frontline employee support and questions: create a safe and respectful environment where employees feel heard, valued, and empowered, and produce necessary documents for them.
  • Drive and deliver initiatives to boost employee engagement, recognition, retention, and elevate the overall employee experience.
  • Collaborate with Operations teams to enhance driver satisfaction and business outcomes  -such as improving shift attractiveness or reducing unplanned absence.
  • Identify, improve, and implement scalable processes to streamline day-to-day HR operations.

Who You Are:

  • Native level of German and advanced English (you’ll communicate with international colleagues on a daily basis and should be able to express yourself in English)
  • Minimum 2 years in Human Resources, People Partnering, Employee Relations, Customer Service, Operations or equivalent
  • Comfortable with digital tools and systems and quick to get up to speed with new platforms
  • Empathetic, clear and transparent communicator with sound judgement, capable of navigating sensitive situations with professionalism.
  • A reflex for action and a strong sense of ownership: you are proactive, identify gaps in process, and propose solutions with an excitement to own implementation and iteration.

What We Offer:

  • Joining a global employer with over 750 mobility projects in 50+ countries
  • Becoming part of a company that was awarded for its commitment to social good
  • 30 vacation days a year
  • Urban Sports Club membership
  • A beautiful office in the heart of Hannover
  • The opportunity to truly have a positive impact on a large employee group and local communities
  • Salary Range: €40,000-55,000 per year. Final salary will be determined by the candidate’s experience, knowledge, and skills.
