TEAM DESCRIPTION

The IT Infrastructure is the hardware, software, architecture, facilities and service components that support the delivery of business systems and IT-enabled processes, while the IT Operations has a higher-level view of an organization’s infrastructure and processes, so the governance will often determine how staff support and interact with the IT Infrastructure. 

The I&O Team is a combination of cultural philosophies, practices, and tools that increases the ability to deliver applications and services at high velocity; evolving and improving services at a faster pace, being fully transparent and involving stakeholders. The team is composed of a mix of IT performance specialists, developers, infrastructure, operations, system and network engineers, with the purpose of managing legacy systems, infrastructure and Networking to optimize both the productivity of developers and the reliability of operations. Additionally to provide visibility and support to the business and other IT Teams to achieve common objectives, to deliver a quality user experience and meet defined performance standards or KPIs. 

The main responsibilities include: 

  • BUILD: Definition, design and delivery of Infrastructure services while providing governance, ensuring the security and compliance of the business applications and infrastructure 
  • RUN: Keep the services that run the business functional, accessible, performant secure for employees, customers and partners, and guarantee the quality and robustness of the services delivered building a solid and relevant expertise to support the Infrastructure & Operations

  • Global Private Cloud Operations & Services
  • Global Shared Services Operation (Core IT Services)
  • Global Network Operations & Services
  • IT Performance
  • ServiceNow Platform and ITSM Best practices

LIST OF DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Governance & Process

  • Tackle increasing demand for self-service and decentralization by augmenting governance and ITSM practices with automated incident management, effective problem management, modern CMDB practices and reliable change management
  • Work in partnership with the team manager to define and improve the team service portfolio, service catalog, its roles and responsibilities
  • Ensure quality services and operational excellence

Leadership

  • Technology watch
  • Communicate, organize and plan projects and activities
  • Team leadership, supervision and animation 
  • Leader IT team resources requirements to ensure appropriate balance between operational, tactical and strategic demands
  • Ensure alignment with the management and that visibility is provided to the team
  • Subcontractors, vendors and service providers management
  • Develop and maintain partnership with key vendors and ensure that all technology and services roadmaps are understood and leveraged where applicable
  • Lead initiatives to build new partnerships that will improve the run and build services
  • Define and improve ITSM processes and tackle the demand for self-service and decentralization
  • Support the definition, take responsibility for the deliveries and follow-up of the team roadmap by considering and involving the team and stakeholders
  • Provide leadership and guidance for the team projects and initiatives by applying agile project management practices, providing organization, visibility, co-creation between teams and taking decisions
  • Take decisions at the Operational level  

Standardize, pack and improve Services

  • Assessing new technologies and best practices for adoption
  • Drive standardization and automation into all aspects
  • Work in partnership with the team manager to manage the lifecycle and improve the team service catalog and offerings
  • Manage the lifecycle of our documents and that it is appropriate for both internal and external consumption (SoPs, Service Offering, network architecture, etc.)
  • Interface with zone and corporate IT teams/managers to discuss and define support initiatives(RUN) and services(BUILD) for improving service efficiency and effectiveness
  • Adopt a product-centric view of I&O, where application teams and business users are treated as customers, and use agile techniques to develop governance practices that meet the pace of the customer demands
  • Foresee weaknesses in processes and improve them

Design & Build

  • Support and drive management decisions
  • Be in line and working side-by-side with the team manager on the definition, management and design of projects/topics with the aim of keeping: 
    • The alignment with the Business priorities
    • Thinking holistically
    • Collaborating with the discussion, decisions and promoting visibility to the management and stakeholders
    • Progressing iteratively and with feedback
  • Ensure compliance with policies, guidelines, and standard operating procedures
  • Ensure Security and compliance of our technologies, applications and infrastructure are aligned with Security definitions
  • Work in partnership with IT Performance and security teams to ensure alignment and the continual improvement of our network services and platforms
  • Highlight and define Global proactive monitoring needs
  • Improve automation maturity
  • Deliver technology services but also govern and guide services wherever they live

Run and Support

  • Mentor other members of the team
  • Ensure that the platforms and services components are effectively available, maintained, and administeredWe are  to ensure smooth reliable operations
  • Ensure the IT Infrastructure team is mitigating, monitoring and managing infrastructure related risks
  • Drive and follow incident, problem, request and change management to ensure operational efficiency and satisfaction
  • Engaged on critical-discussions, issues escalation, and complex solution development (Incidents, tasks R&D)
  • Run and support the IT services and products to the customer, ensuring that such delivery meets agreed specification and the stakeholders expectations
  • Define and improve ITSM service metrics and processes with the aim of delivering within the defined SLA and improving the MTR (Partners and Internal Team)
  • Ensure that partners are delivering the agreed services within the defined SLA
  • Ensure effective coordination and cooperation with the Zone and corporate IT to smoothly facilitate the resolution of cross domain incidents/requests

Requisitos

Qualifications

  • 5 + years experience with Cloud Infrastructure architecture and IT Operations
  • English and French language proficiency
  • ITIL framework understanding
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to work with teams from various technical backgrounds
  • Able to quickly skill up on any technology or business topic
  • Strongly innovative and technology minded
  • Able to anticipate, identify, and resolve complex technical issues
  • Time and project management
  • Problem solving and decision-making skills

Skills

  • Amazon Web services
  • AWS Certification is a plus
  • Demonstrated experience with team leadership and project portfolio management
  • Demonstrated experience with Cloud Infrastructure architecture and design
  • Good knowledge of Cloud serverless architectures and Containers
  • Good knowledge in web dev (Python, NodeJS, ..) and Database (PosgreSQL, MySQL, SQL Server) 
  • Experience administering and deploying development CI/CD tools such asGit, GitLab,Terraform, Checkov, CloudFormation, Terraform and Ansible.
  • Comfortable with Agile, DevOps, Continuous Integration, Continuous Development, Lean Startup concepts
  • Security (certificates, encryption, devices security)
