UNVEIL is looking for its next recruit in its R&D dream team. If you have experience in high performance image processing, wave optics and are a teamplayer, come to embark with us on an exciting journey to develop the tools empowering the future of advanced therapies.
Overall Mission
Your main mission, should you choose to accept it, will be to upgrade our prototype software to a commercial-grade one for the industrialized version of the product, to lead the version upgrades calendar, and to ensure continuous performance improvement. It will also involve working with the R&D team to improve the image processing, signal processing, and many other algorithms.
Goals and responsibilities
Develop and be responsible for the industrialized version of our software by choosing the right architecture and technologies to make it efficient, stable as well as easy to maintain. Our software includes:
Extensive scientific computing : image and signal processing, optimization, statistics etc.
A graphical user interface
Hardware management (camera, laser, microcontroller etc)
Accelerate specific functionalities of the software (e.g., image/signal processing, optimization and various others algorithms) - notably with GPU computing
Improve the user experience by redesigning the application UI
Develop new image and signal processing algorithms that make our full pipeline more reliable and efficient, in order to detect smaller nanoparticles, in more complex environments.
Required
Engineering or Master degree
Have at least 3 years of experience working as part of a team developing complex IT systems involving scientific computing.
Be motivated to join a dynamic, growing start-up and be a good fit for the team
Valued and optional skills
Experience with a graphical user interface application development framework (e.g., Qt)
Skills in Python/C++/Cuda C++
Experience in image processing (denoising, detection, etc.)
Skills in mathematics/statistical analysis
Knowledge of physics, specifically wave optics/Fourier optics
Experience with Experiment control and management of large data flows
Fluent in English
Little extras
Interest in biology, particularly in the field of cell/gene therapies
Skills in electronics (in terms of designing or understanding relatively simple electronic circuits)
Skills in a microcontroller programming language
