Westfield Rise is the Media, Brand & Data Partnerships Division of URW and is evolving from an opportunistic business to a strategic one leveraging our increasingly digitally connected platform of unique flagship destinations and our unrivalled global audience:

  • 550 Mn annual visits in Europe

  • 40 Mn digital audience in Europe

  • 14 Mn databased profiles in Europe

The Division is structured around 4 key revenue streams: Events & Brand Experience, Media, and new additions Monetization of Services and Data & Digital, with an ambitious target of successful transformation:

  • Brand experience: from opportunistic activations to multi-year, multi-channel, international deals

  • Media: from selling screens to selling audiences, partnering with leading European media partners

  • Data & services: leveraging data and digital infrastructure to generate recurring revenue annually

It will focus on developing commercial opportunities and revenues through a client-centric 360° approach, placing URW as a key player on the advertising market.

  • A fast-growing market, with early revenue capture, low-capex, and strong synergy with existing business

  • Objective: more than double yearly net revenue by 2024 (2021 actuals net margin of €30 Mn), with significant upside by 2030

In this role, you will act as a European data project manager to help develop the business: :

You build new data products by exploiting URW first party data:

  • Work closely with the Data team to understand audience data and identify models for the commercialization

  • Work closely with the media and brand experience teams to understand data needs, and identify use cases and business potentials.

  • Design and define data products for retailers, advertisers and experiential clients (dashboards, reports, etc) in collaboration with Data and IT teams.

  • Co-building a platform with data & IT teams to deliver these data products to clients (retailers, advertisers, experiential clients, media partners)

  • Be the main point of contact for Westfield Rise with the Data/IT teams.

  • Identify all operational issues and propose solutions.

You define the strategy to sell these new data products:

  • Define the different commercial methodology (targeting retailers, advertisers and experiential clients)

  • Define the pricing data packages.

  • Work with the strategy team to define the go to market strategy for these new data products.

  • Launch Proof of Concept (PoC) for each data product.

  • Transform these PoC into incremental incomes in collaboration with the media and brand experience teams to meet financial objectives of the BU.

  • Design sales collateral documents to help Wesfield Rise sales teams to sell these data products

  • Assist WRise teams and leasing teams in the selling of these data products

You lead for the Westfield Rise team for data operations:

  • Be the business owner for methodologies and processes defined by the data team.

  • Ensure data provider requests from the Westfield Rise team are covered.

  • Follow technical deployment of the solution (new cameras, new areas to follow,…)

  • Responsibility for budgeting, forecasting and tracking revenues and expenses from data products

  • Oversee all financial management (Capex & Opex investments and invoicing)

  • Onboarding all internal and external stakeholders (regional teams, media partners, agencies,etc) on data projects and organize training.

  • Contribute to the integration of the data platforms with other Westfield Rise platforms such as CRM tools

  • In collaboration with other departments such as SCM, create a database to gather all sources of information (quantaflow, my traffic,..) and see how we can integrate them into the new platform

Leverage and enrich our inventory, and identify new Retail Media products with the digital team and URW strategic partners:

  • Identify new ways of selling our digital assets (website, app, CRM, social networks) complete restructuring of the offer

  • Challenge and review pricing of WRise digital assets

  • Create PoC to test new features of app, websites, CRM, social networks

  • Be the main point of contact between corporate loyalty team and digital service teams and inform WRise team on their strategy

  • Lead Live Shopping project to drive revenues to achieve profitability (product offer, pricing strategy, strategic partnership)

  • Competitive assessment to understand what additional tools/platforms we need to deploy to reach financial objectives  

Position based at the URW Headquarters in Paris 16, regular travels in London expected.

What we are looking for

  • You have a Master’s degree from a business school or engineering school or an university and at least 5 years' experience within a new businesses department.

  • You have knowledge about the media environment (DOOH, experiential activations, OOH) You are familiar with media agencies challenges.

  • You have strong problem-solving skills and you are confident in dealing with key internal and external stakeholders

  • You are a team player, maintaining close working relationships with team and other employees to achieve targets.

  • You are comfortable with complex project management

  • You have excellent verbal and written communication skills, and you speak fluently French & English. You have a strong entrepreneurial spirit.

  • You have an interest in innovation, new trends & technologies. You enjoy negotiation.

  • You are comfortable with new challenges and new subjects.

  • You are driven and self -motivated to deliver results.

  • You master financial reporting and modelling and have strong analytical skills.

  • You demonstrate ability to effectively manage time.

  • You are computer literate in Microsoft programs: Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, Excel.
