SiPearl is building the European high-performance low-power microprocessor dedicated to supercomputing and AI inference. This new generation of microprocessors will first target EuroHPC Joint Undertaking ecosystem, which is deploying world-class supercomputing infrastructures in Europe for solving major challenges in medical research, security, energy management and climate with a reduced environmental footprint.

SiPearl is working in close collaboration with its 30 partners from the European Processor Initiative (EPI) consortium - leading names from the scientific community, supercomputing centres and industry - which are its stakeholders, future clients and end-users.

SiPearl employs more than 190 people in France (Maisons-Laffitte, Grenoble, Massy, Sophia Antipolis), Germany (Duisburg) and Spain (Barcelona).

💻 About the role

In this role, you will be instrumental in verifying products built around the highest-performance cores and the latest standard protocols (AXI/CHI, PCIe, DDR, HBM).

As a verification engineer, you’ll collaborate with architecture, design, physical implementation, and software teams to ensure that SiPearl’s systems perform at the highest level.

Your tasks may involve high-level modeling, UVM, HW/SW Co-Debug, Simulation Acceleration support, providing abundant opportunities for technical and personal development.

🎯 What a regular day at the job might look like

• Read and analyze system requirements and architecture requirement documents.
• Plan functional verification activities for a given subsystem/functionality.
• Develop and maintain verification environments in SystemVerilog/UVM/SystemC/C++.
• Write tests in embedded C and conduct debugging.
• Participate in verification methodology improvements.
• Plan project milestones and deliverables related to functional verification within SiPearl and with external partners.
• Organize work and deliverables among various skills, internal and external teams.
• Mentor and train the next generation of verification engineers.
• Manage teams from external partners (opportunities available)

🔍 What would make you succeed in this role

• Verification and/or design of complex SoC.
• Expertise in one or more of the following: SystemVerilog/UVM/VHDL, SystemC/C++, Embedded C.
• Some prior experience in Firmware-based verification is desirable.
• Experience in metrics-driven verification.
• Familiarity with scripting languages like Bash/Perl/Python.
• Experience with verification management tools.
• Fluency in English is a prerequisite for success in this role, as effective communication in English is essential for collaboration and ensuring the seamless execution of responsibilities.

➕ Experience in the following is a plus

• Firmware-based verification.
• Metrics-driven verification.
• Use of Git/Gitlab.
• Familiarity with AMBA and other ARM IPs.
