Descripción del puesto

As a Cloud Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our cloud infrastructure. You will work closely with other members of the IT and R&D teams to ensure our cloud environment is available, secure, reliable, and scalable.

Our teams build and maintain our SaaS application, which manages more than 50 million IoT devices, in more than 10.000 stores in 24/7. We are processing more than 200 million of data change every day. Our target for 2027 is to manage 1 billion IoT devices.

Reporting directly to the Head of Cloud Operation, you’ll have the following missions:

  1. Maintain and support cloud infrastructure, including monitoring, patching, and troubleshooting:
    • track dashboards and alerts.
    • identify and respond to production incidents and drive root cause analysis and remediation.
    • apply disaster and recovery procedure if needed.
    • define and implement workarounds and mitigations.
    • identify abnormal behaviours or minor issues that must be fixed.
    • take part in analysing and tackling issues.
    • follow and challenge KPIs.
    • ensure platform distribution, performances and scalability.
  2. Deploy patches and releases to production environment:
    • Check deliveries and deploy to staging environment and ensure quality.
    • Deploy to production environment while monitoring the platform and ensuring minimum interruptions.
  3. Communicate with customers during incidents after identifying them (communicate on them)
  4. Take part in development phases:
    • Provide insights with production environments metrics and constraints.
    • Challenge design and provide improvements as early as possible.
    • Take part in qualifying the solution for production.
    • Test and challenge disaster and recovery procedures.
  5. Ensure security:
    • Take part of security reviews.
    • Monitor security tools.
    • identification of improvements.
    • Implement of improvements.
  6. Take part in continuous improvement:
    • Identify improvements, including in the monitoring or dashboarding.
    • Take part in lessons learnt from releases and incidents.
    • Implement improvements, e.g. via scripting or available tools.
    • Take part in processes optimisation, documentation, audits (e.g. ISO 27001)
    • Take part in cost control and cost killing projects.

Requisitos

  •  Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience with at least 3 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Strong experience with cloud computing platforms, ideally Microsoft Azure (experience/knowledge in Google Cloud is a +)
  • Experience with DevOps tools, such as Azure DevOps.
  • Experience with containerization technologies such as Kubernetes.
  • Experience with Elastic Search
  • Strong personal drive and ability to work proactively and independently.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and a strong focus on automation and process improvement.
  • Fluently speaking and writing in English, French/german are a +
  • Scripting capabilities (PowerShell)

 

This position is based in France (Nanterre with partial remote) or USA (Dallas, Texas)

On-Call rotation are required.

Travel is usually not required
