WHY WE NEED YOU ?

Our growth is driving us to strengthen our Elastic Metal team to accelerate the development of our bare metal product, which already powers more than 15,000 servers across 6 Availability Zones.

Your mission will be to design, build and maintain microservices in Go in order to scale and automate Elastic Metal operations while supporting new product features.

YOUR FUTURE TEAM

We work in a collaborative and international environment where the diversity of Scalers, combined with a spirit of sharing, helps bring new projects to life every day, advancing our ambitions together.

You will be part of a team of 8 DevOps engineers (soon to be split into two specialized teams), working on the Elastic Metal stack composed of 3 microservices:

-A client API

-An API for infrastructure management

-An API to control install/rescue/cleaning/update workflows for servers.

The team operates in Agile mode with 2-week sprints, pair programming sessions, and regular rituals (daily, grooming, retro, closing). Collaboration is enhanced through WorkAdventure and 1:1 sessions every two weeks with your manager.

YOUR DAILY ROUTINE

Tasks

-Develop new features in Go for the Elastic Metal stack

-Perform code reviews and ensure best practices

-Analyze existing code and propose improvements

-Investigate and resolve bugs

-Contribute to automation of infrastructure operations

-Collaborate with hardware, network, and console teams to ensure seamless integration

ABOUT YOU

HARDSKILLS :

-Strong proficiency in Golang (mandatory)

-Solid experience with Git, SQL, Docker, CI/CD pipelines

-Knowledge of bare metal infrastructure and image building

-RabbitMQ, NATS, gRPC, Prometheus, Grafana, Packer, BMC

SOFTSKILLS :

-Strong team spirit, able to thrive in collaborative projects

-Autonomous, comfortable working in a mostly full-remote environment

-Excellent communication skills

-Methodical and rigorous approach to problem-solving
