A Day in the Life
As the Raw Materials Category Manager for Actives, you will be at the forefront of driving L’Oréal’s global sourcing strategy for active ingredients. Reporting to the Global Sourcing team, you’ll collaborate with internal experts across Research & Innovation, Operations, and Sustainable Sourcing, as well as Divisions and Zones worldwide. You’ll also engage with suppliers and stakeholders across diverse geographies, including the USA, India, China, and Latin America.

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement the global sourcing strategy for actives, ensuring alignment with L’Oréal’s sustainability targets and business needs.
• Supplier Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with global suppliers, driving performance improvements in competitiveness, quality, sustainability, and innovation.
• Risk Management: Identify and mitigate risks within the supplier portfolio, implement business continuity plans, and explore alternative suppliers.
• Market Opportunities: Scout innovations and new suppliers to enhance sustainability, responsiveness, and competitiveness.
• Operational Excellence: Manage contracts, oversee key projects, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

We Are Looking For
You’re a great match for this role if you have:

• Experience in sourcing, with a strategic mindset and risk management expertise.
• Technical knowledge in chemistry or agro-engineering, or a strong ability to learn.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to influence and onboard diverse stakeholders.
• Analytical skills to assess data, markets, and trends.
• Leadership capabilities to drive complex projects and present results to top management.
• Fluency in English and a collaborative, team-oriented spirit.
