Gymglish is creating the position of “Head of Business Development” to accelerate our growth. You will be in charge of developing sales within the company’s B2B and B2B2C channels, and working on new customer acquisition strategies in the global language learning and online education market.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • working with our managers and business-development teams to develop sales in our existing B2B channels (selling to companies, key accounts, public authorities, and higher-education institutions) and B2B2C (developing our global network of media partners and language-education professionals)
  • working in the field to explore new market opportunities, signing new B2B2C and/or B2B2B partnerships, framework agreements and global contracts.

You will work hand in hand with the two business-development managers already in place, to lead our sales teams (five B2B BizDevs in Bordeaux and six B2B2C BizDevs in Paris) to achieve our ambitious growth targets.

You’ll be a member of the executive committee at Gymglish, reporting directly to the CEO, tasked with monitoring and analyzing commercial KPIs to determine strategies and proposing new ways to innovate.

What you’ll be doing

Developing sales

  • Develop sales and expand our clientele based on our current commercial strategy

    • Develop B2B and B2B2C sales
    • Grow our network of partners worldwide (currently 400 active partners)
    • Develop customer acquisition & qualified inbound leads and attract new prospects
    • Work with marketing to improve communication tools for our customers and partners
  • Explore and develop new partnerships and levers for customer acquisition and growth

    • Define new markets and targets to prospect based on strategies defined jointly with management
    • Explore new B2B2C and/or B2B2B partnership opportunities internationally
    • Set up teams and processes to develop the most promising customer-acquisition channels on an industrial level (scaling)

Managing and growing our team

  • Manage and work with our current B2B and B2B2C development managers in order to:

    • define budgets, annual objectives, and incentives
    • manage the business developers on the team
    • optimize our sales approaches and processes

Reporting and liaising

  • Manage reporting and analysis of the KPIs implemented
  • Improve our current monitoring and analysis tools
  • Take responsibility for achieving our targets
  • Serve as the primary intermediary between our business-development teams and senior management

Requisitos

  • You have at least five years of experience in a similar position
  • You have successful experience as a business developer
  • You’re creative, proactive, and take initiative
  • You have excellent sales, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
  • You have great analytical skills and rigor
  • You’re well organized
  • You have successful experience in managing a team
  • You are an excellent communicator and team player
  • Experience in the training, language or SAS services sectors is a plus
  • You’re proficient in business English and fluent in French; another language (especially German or Spanish) would be a bonus
  • You’re proficient in office software and standard sales tools (CRM, automation tools, etc.)
  • You love to travel

Important details

  • Where you’ll be based: Paris, 12th arrondissement, with regular trips to Bordeaux and elsewhere to meet with partners and customers
  • When you’ll start: from September 2022
  • Package: €70,000 to €90,000 fixed salary depending on experience plus bonus based on business objectives attained (up to €80,000).
