As a Senior Software Engineer at Forest Admin, you will be a technical pillar of our engineering team, driving the development and operational excellence of our platform. You’ll work across our entire stack while maintaining the reliability and performance standards our customers depend on, and engage directly with customers to understand their needs and deliver solutions.

🎯 What You’ll Do

Technical Leadership & Delivery

  • Lead the design and implementation of complex features across front-end, back-end, and infrastructure

  • Manage multiple concurrent projects, balancing priorities and delivering quality solutions on time

  • Drive technical decisions that impact the entire platform, from architecture to deployment

  • Mentor other engineers through code reviews, pair programming, and technical discussions

  • Orchestrate AI-assisted development workflows to maximize team velocity while maintaining code quality and architectural coherence

Full-Stack Ownership

  • Build robust, scalable solutions using modern JavaScript frameworks

  • Design and implement APIs, integrations, and database schemas

  • Optimize application performance and user experience across the stack

  • Own infrastructure decisions and deployments (AWS, Docker, monitoring, CI/CD)

Customer Collaboration

  • Engage directly with customers to understand technical requirements and use cases

  • Participate in technical discovery calls and solution design discussions

  • Gather product feedback and technical insights from customer conversations

  • Translate customer needs into actionable technical specifications

  • Work with Product and Customer Success teams to prioritize customer-driven features

Operational Excellence

  • Ensure high availability and reliability of our production systems

  • Implement monitoring, alerting, and incident response procedures

  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives: performance optimization, security hardening, technical debt reduction

  • Define and uphold SLAs that meet enterprise customer expectations

  • Access and manage production configurations safely and effectively

Risk Management & Rapid Iteration

  • Ship features quickly while maintaining stability and quality

  • Implement feature flags, progressive rollouts, and rollback strategies

  • Balance innovation with pragmatism—know when to move fast and when to be cautious

  • Write comprehensive tests and establish quality gates that catch issues before production


Requisitos

🔎 What We’re Looking For

Technical Excellence & Experience

  • 5+ years shipping and maintaining production systems at scale in fast-paced startup environments, with strong proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript, modern front-end frameworks, and back-end development

  • Hands-on experience with AI-assisted development tools and proven ability to leverage them as force multipliers for delivery velocity

  • Solid expertise in cloud infrastructure, database design and modern DevOps practices including monitoring, logging, and observability

  • Track record of operating critical systems with high availability requirements, including on-call responsibilities, incident management, and driving continuous reliability improvements

  • Passionate about writing clean, maintainable, well-tested code with strong understanding of security best practices, performance optimization, and scalability patterns

Communication & Customer Collaboration

  • Fluent English, essential for direct customer interactions and our working language

  • Comfortable engaging directly with technical customers to gather requirements, participate in discovery calls, and translate needs into technical solutions

  • Excellent communicator who can explain complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences while building strong relationships with customers and internal teams

  • Experience working in customer-facing roles (Solutions Engineer, Technical Consultant, or similar) is a plus
