Descripción del puesto

Join a fast-growing company with a purpose! At Fastned you will actively contribute to accelerating the transition to electric mobility. We are looking for a Field Operations Manager FR-ES to join our Field Operations team at Fastned. The Field Operations team is responsible for continuously maintaining our operational stations in a perfect state to offer a reliable, safe and customer-friendly charging experience to electric drivers across our 8 markets.

Your role

As a Field Operations Manager for France and Spain, you will play a key role in the success of our mission to bring freedom to electric drivers in two high-potential markets. You will be in charge of a growing number of operational charging stations (currently about 40 in France and some to be built in Spain in 2024). Your primary focus will be to ensure that they are kept functional, reliable, safe, clean and welcoming for our customers. You will lead, supervise and grow an internal team of 4 Field Engineers carrying out onsite repairs at our stations, ensuring the highest uptime in the market. Next to that, you will be the contact point internally to all stakeholders (country and central teams), and externally to contractors and parties involved in the operations of our stations. The scope of your responsibilities will range from field maintenance to spare parts logistics, as well as bigger infrastructure projects and internal process optimization.

Your overall responsibilities include:

Team leadership

  • Supervising, leading and growing a team of 4 Field Engineers (currently 2);
  • Managing the capacity of your team by prioritising the jobs of the Field Engineers and dispatching them onsite in the most efficient way;
  • Making sure that you and your team fully comply with Health & Safety standards and regulatory requirements, providing a safe and people care work environment to our Field Engineers on the road and on site.

Operational excellence

  • Supporting your team by visiting your stations and performing regular site inspections with an emphasis on quality assurance and safety compliance;
  • Opening, commissioning and being accountable for the handover process of new stations from Construction to Field Operations (with support of your team);
  • Ensuring the highest uptime in your region by having your team perform chargers and systems repairs to comply with our internal timelines and contractual commitments;
  • Working hand-in-hand with our central Field Maintenance, Field Projects and Parts & Logistics teams to keep our stations and equipment at the highest level of reliability;
  • Handling the logistics of spare parts together with our Parts & Logistics Manager and Warehouse Specialists to optimise your team’s stock and maximise parts availability;
  • Assisting with large infrastructure projects at your stations (upgrades, major repairs) together with our central Field Projects team;
  • Contributing to the overall strategy and performance of Field Operations globally by taking local initiatives, sharing best practices, and tirelessly improving our internal ways of working and processes.

Stakeholder management

  • Initiating, developing and growing strong relationships with third parties contractors in your region (for ex for civil works, cleaning, gardening etc.);
  • Being the point of contact for the other local teams (Network Development, Location Design, Construction, Network Operations etc) within Field Operations and representing Field Operations locally;
  • Collaborating with the local Network Operations responsible to supervise the operational performance of Fastned stations in your region.

In that role, you'll report to our Head of Field Operations based in Amsterdam. The role requires some regular presence in the Paris office. It also involves some days on the road to visit the stations and the team members.

Join us in being part of a dynamic, innovative, and rapidly growing company in the e-mobility sector and use your leadership skills to contribute to a more sustainable future!
