Job Description

Responsibilities:

EA is currently conducting a strategic project that aims to design and implement a core travel insurance model throughout the 37 countries EA is implanted in.

This project will bring standardization on both business and IT side, and Duck Creek has been selected as target solution.

As Travel Insurance IT Project Manager, you’ll be reporting to the Head of IT Travel with the following responsibilities:

  • Lead a functional scope, part of the main global project, by supervising the system integrator, validating functional and technical choices, guaranteeing the respect of global architectural guidelines
  • Manage a number of satellite global projects linked to the Duck Creek implementation, from scoping to delivery
  • Define budgets, staffing and workloads, regularly provide reporting and ensure the delivery coordination of all projects you are in charge of
  • Actively contribute to the design, understand business requirements, provide detailed specifications
  • Report, explain, justify all project management choices to the stakeholders

Preferred Experience

  • At least 8 years of IT project management
  • Experience in delivering out of the box configurable platforms (Insurance Platforms, ERPs, CRMs)
  • Good knowledge of application architecture good practices
  • Good overall knowledge of state of the art technologies (coding languages, frameworks, protocols, ETLs), ability to guide and supervise IT choices
  • Previous experience in insurance is not mandatory, but a real interest for understanding the business side and a quick learning curve is a must
  • Previous experience on Duck Creek or Guidewire is not required, but it would be a strong booster
  • Very good English, both written and spoken
