👉 We are looking for a driven and talented R&D Software Engineer to join Escape and play a crucial role in advancing our core algorithms and technology. As a member of one of our technical teams you will be responsible for maintaining and evolving our core AI algorithms and technology that form the backbone of our platform, driving the innovation that will shape the future of cybersecurity.

Context

• Location: Paris (75002), 2 days remote/week

• Cofounders: CEO (Tristan Kalos) and CTO (Antoine Carossio)

• Engineering Team: 13 Engineers (including 5 Interns), 2 Technical Leads, 1 Designer

• You’ll be working in a close-knit team of 4 outstanding engineers under supervision of a technical lead

Key Responsibilities:

• Core Algorithm Development: Implementing and maintaining key features within our R&D products, with a focus on our AI-driven cybersecurity algorithms, using Golang and Python.

• Event-Based System: Developing and enhancing our event-based system that ingests data from R&D products into a PostgreSQL database, ensuring seamless data flow to support our core technologies.

• System Reliability: Ensuring the availability, efficiency, and monitoring of our core AI systems using Kubernetes, Grafana, and AWS.

• Deployment: Deploying and managing microservices using Docker and Kubernetes, ensuring our core technology is robust and scalable.

• Codebase Ownership: Gradually take ownership of the codebase, contributing to its architecture, quality, and long-term maintainability.

• Continuous Learning: Stay up-to-date with the latest technologies and best practices, bringing new ideas to the team to continually improve our platform.

Experience

• 1+ year of experience: Proven experience as a Backend Engineer with a focus on Golang, Python.

• Event-Based Systems: Experience with Kafka or other event-driven architectures.

• Bilingual Proficiency: Perfectly fluent in both French and English, enabling effective communication in a bilingual environment.

• Core Technology Experience: A passion for working on core algorithms and critical backend systems that power innovative AI-driven solutions.

• Code Ownership: A track record of taking responsibility for your code, ensuring it meets high standards of quality and performance.

• DevOps Skills: Proficiency with Kubernetes, Docker, and AWS for deployment and monitoring.
