Descripción del puesto

Join Doctolib’s Data Platform Engineering team to build the first Minimum Viable Product (MVP) of an AI‑enhanced status page for our new data platform on Google Cloud Platform (GCP), in a data mesh context.

You’ll turn scattered platform signals into a single, elegant interface that gives every Doctoliber simple, actionable visibility into services and data products (availability, freshness/quality, costs, ownership). We could leverage AI agents to enable natural-language querying, navigation and troubleshooting.

Context and mission

Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Contribute to our migration from Amazon Web Services (AWS) to GCP, and the rollout of the decentralized data product approach
  • Build the MVP interface (graphical user interface and/or agent) that provides:
  • For tech: service/pipeline overview, health, Service Level Objectives (SLOs), costs
  • For data/business: catalog view, data product status, resources and ownership
  • Lead discovery with stakeholders (interviews, workshops), propose user experience (UX), define the architecture, implement backend/API and frontend, and document it
  • Start with a reduced “data products” scope and prepare the path to scale

Tech environment (indicative)

  • GCP (BigQuery, Google Cloud Storage, Pub/Sub, Cloud Run, IAM, Monitoring, Data Catalog)
  • Container & Orchestration: Google Kubernetes Engine, ArgoCD for GitOps
  • Iac: Terraform/Crossplane
  • Monitoring: Datadog
  • Versioning/Continuous Integration: Git
  • Data Orchestrator: Dagster

What you’ll learn

  • Ship an internal product from discovery to MVP rollout, used by Doctolibers across teams
  • Design a usable platform interface and build an AI assistant grounded in real‑time metrics, metadata, and ownership
  • Work at the intersection of data engineering, observability, business stakeholders and applied AI
  • Apply solid engineering practices (code reviews, testing, documentation)

Most importantly: your MVP will be one of the most visible internal data tools we ship this year!

Profile

Before you read on — if you don't have the exact profile described below, but you feel this job description matches your skill set, we still encourage you to apply.

You could be our next teammate if you:

  • Are a final-year student (engineering school/university) in Computer Science / Data
  • Have solid foundations in software development (Python or TypeScript/JS), and the basics of APIs and web frontends
  • Are interested in data platforms, metadata, data quality/freshness and observability
  • Bring a product/UX mindset: collaborative, autonomous and rigorous

Now, it would be fantastic if you have:

  • Familiarity with GCP, data mesh, lineage/catalog, or practical exposure to building simple agents or Natural Language Query over structured data

What we offer

  • Meal vouchers worth €8.50 per day, with €4.50 covered by Doctolib
  • A 3‑month onboarding program including the Doctolib Academy and various trainings (languages, soft skills, technical skills)
  • A works council subsidy for partial reimbursement of memberships to sports or leisure activities
  • 50% reimbursement of your public transportation subscription costs

The interview process

  1. Recruiter screen (30 minutes)
  2. Case study & restitution (1 hour)
  3. Behavioral interview (meet your future team and manager) (30 minutes)
