What is the function of the Legal Assistant within Choco?

The Legal department is an integral part of Choco, it is responsible for all matters relating to venture capital, data privacy, commercial & employment law/regulatory requirements, the Legal Assistant role will get to have experience across this spectrum of business matters

⚙️ Your daily activities will be divided between these different missions: ⚙️

• Preparing the (legal) path for new products & partnerships

• Advise on Venture Capital, M&A, privacy or regulatory requirements with corporate and commercial law

• Advise on legal requirement in general as well as review and draft commercial agreements

• Assist in the development of the company wide Legal Department information page (Notion page)

• Assist in the development of the international set-up between the entities (group structure) to ensure the company’s scalability

3 must haves:

• German Law Degree 1 (1. Staatsexamen) from a German university is required

• Ability to be able to perform in a fast paced environment

• Business fluent in German is necessary

3 nice to haves:

• Solid interest in disruptive (tech) industries

• Communication is the key to getting the job done. You possess the ability to pass on information to internal and external stakeholders efficiently.

• Strong business understanding

Second interview with a member of the Legal Team: It will be your moment to convince your future manager that you are the person for the job.

Third interview with the Director of Finance: You will have the opportunity to meet with the head of people operations to convince further on why we need you and only you for the role

Last interview with our CEO: Up to 30 mins to convince our Founder and CEO that you have what it takes to become a true Chocorian.
