YOUR WORK ENVIRONMENT

 

The headquarters of the AXA Group (GIE AXA) brings together our corporate activities. It provides guidance and support to subsidiaries around the world, to ensure the coordination and monitoring of the Group's global strategy, the application of its standards, the consistency of commercial approaches and the sharing of best practices. The headquarters gathers approximately 1000 employees and is distinguished by its strong international culture (45 nationalities), which makes it a rich and stimulating place to work.

 

Within the Group, you will join the AXA Group Compliance department that own Group Standards Polices on Compliance, including Anti Money Laundering, Anti Bribery & Corruption, Data Privacy, Conduct and International Sanctions.

 

Within this Department, you will be part of the team Anti Bribery & Corruption

 

 

YOUR ROLE AND RESPONSABILITIES:

 

In a context of a strong international regulation (i.e., FCPA, UKBA), the French regulatory framework has dramatically evolved (Sapin II Law, French Anti-Bribery Agency’s guidelines and controls). It impacts AXA in all operations worldwide. Penalties for non-compliance with this new French regulatory environment has increased financial impacts, with significant damages to AXA’s reputation and brand.

 

To manage this, AXA Group Anti-Bribery Department has to prevent the risk of bribery and corruption across the Group and the risk of non-compliance with anti-bribery and corruption laws and regulations. To do so, ABC Analysts have to support and assist the Group Anti-Bribery & Corruption team   to:

  • Develop and manage the global anti-bribery & corruption compliance program;
  • Ensure appropriate anti-bribery & corruption compliance policies, processes and controls are in place across AXA Group subsidiaries worldwide, to meet Group standards and international regulatory requirements.

 

The Group Anti-Bribery Analyst will notably assist the Group Anti-Bribery & Corruption team by:

 

  • Performing the Anti-Bribery & Corruption regulatory watch
  • Preparing and assisting -on-site anti-bribery & corruption technical reviews of AXA Group subsidiaries across the world on a regular basis (approximatively 6 travels per year with on-site assessment during 3 to 4 days per travel). The objective is to test the effectiveness of their ABC programmes on a selection of entities and to ensure a consistent approach on the deployment of the AXA global ABC programme across the Group by notably:
    • Testing some processes
    • Assisting in the preparation of the reports and its action plan follow-up
  • Assisting the update and monitoring some specific exercises performed by AXA Group subsidiaries (i.e gap analysis, ABC Risk Assessment, testings, KPIs)
  • Supporting some  ad’hoc projects to reinforce AXA Global ABC Programme, Group policies, and develop Group-level anti-bribery & corruption compliance processes

 

YOUR PROFILE

Technical and professional skills:

  • 2 to 3 years of experience in Compliance
  • Overall compliance/financial crime knowledge
  • Audit general skills (ideally in compliance/financial crime, finance)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Analytical thinking
  • Ability to convince in a smooth manner (diplomatic soft skills) 
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize work effectively
  • Interpersonal and team working skill
  • Ability to work in an international environment
  • English and French fluent

 

Communication skills:

  • Effective interaction requires compliance knowledge, the ability to translate specialized regulatory requirements into processes that are meaningful for businesses. This role requires a confident and articulate individual, with good inter-personal and influencing skills, and good cultural sensitivity.
