YOUR WORK ENVIRONMENT

The headquarters of the AXA Group (GIE AXA) brings together our corporate activities. It provides guidance and support to subsidiaries around the world, to ensure the coordination and monitoring of the Group's global strategy, the application of its standards, the consistency of commercial approaches and the sharing of best practices. The headquarters gathers approximately 1000 employees and is distinguished by its strong international culture (45 nationalities), which makes it a rich and stimulating place to work.

Within the Group, you will join the GIE AXA Compliance function.

AXA GIE Compliance is responsible for managuing and monitoring an adequate and efficient compliance programme to comply with compliance laws and regulations and AXA Standards. Also, AXA GIE Compliance function ensures that AXA SA has an adequate and effective Anti-bribery programme by duplicating some compliance policies, procedures and processes from AXA GIE compliance programme to AXA SA compliance programme and creating new ones when necessary.

YOUR ROLE AND RESPONSABILITIES:

In a context of a strong international regulation (i.e., FCPA, UKBA), the French regulatory framework has dramatically evolved (Sapin II Law, French Anti-Bribery Agency’s guidelines and controls). It impacts AXA in all operations worldwide. Penalties for non-compliance with this new French regulatory environment has increased financial impacts, with significant damages to AXA’s reputation and brand.

In this context, the AXA GIE Junior Compliance Analyst will have to support the AXA GIE Compliance Senior Analyst and contribute to the monitoring and development of the AXA GIE/AXA SA compliance programme.

Policies and process

  • Monitor ABC regulatory developments specifically from Sapin II Law and the ones regarding the French enforcement body called AFA (i.e. AFA Guidelines, AFA Sanctions Committee, etc.).
  • Provide support in the Anti-Bribery & Corruption (ABC) Risk Assessment exercice (i.e draft minutes of interviews and consolidate assessment results in Group template) and follow- up remediation action plans
  • Contribute to updating compliance policies, procedures and processes to mitigate the identified compliance risks.
  • Maintain Gift and Entertainment Register with associated KPIs.
  • Perform Anti-Bribery and Corruption due diligence processes (World-Check screening) – checking that all payees, vendors etc. are screened notably against international sanctions lists / negative media reports and maintain the Third-Parties at risk registry.
  • Provide support in the treatment of new alerts in the AXA Screening tool (International Sanctions alerts, Negative media alerts).

Raise awareness

  • Provide support in the awareness of AXA GIE employees on anti-bribery topics by strengthening the AXA GIE annual training program (i.e. training to new joiners, intranet page, assist in the development of dynamic and impactful training and communication materials such as Corruption Day, serious game.)

Governance

  • Assist in the preparation of presentations for AXA GIE Sole Administrator meeting: maintain and improve a Compliance dashboard with KPIs
  • Controls
  • Provide support in the monitoring and control of compliance risks through specific controls on the 1st line of defense via the AXA GIE/AXA SA Compliance Internal Control framework (quarterly assessment within the Scala tool).

YOUR PROFILE

Technical and professional skills:

  • Previous experiences in compliance / legal / risk department or consulting firm.
  • Fluent in English and French
  • Academic background in compliance-legal / risk
  • Close attention to detail, being rigorous with an analytical mind
