YOUR ROLE AND RESPONSABILITIES:

 

What You’ll Do

 

Within the Property & Casualty Actuarial team, we offer you the opportunity to participate in actuarial work related to technical issues in Property & Casualty insurance:

 

Evaluation of the solidity of technical provisions (participation in technical provision review exercises, budgeting processes, and the development of the strategic plan)

Analysis of the technical performance of business lines. Analysis of financial statements

Optimization and development of tools

This position offers great visibility into non-life insurance operations, through a wide variety of technical subjects that are significant for the AXA Group.

 

YOUR PROFILE

 

Who you are

 

You are a Master’s student in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, or Finance (including Business Schools). You identify with the following descriptions:

  • Analytical Ability: Enjoys diving deep into technical subjects
  • Ability to use mathematical and/or actuarial skills to solve professional problems: Experience (for example, a professional project or an academic project conducted in collaboration with a company) is expected; proficiency in a programming language (VBA, R, Python) is a plus
  • Communication: Excellent communication skills (oral and written) with the ability to present complex concepts simply and defend positions
  • Collaboration: Enjoys collaborating with diverse teams, adapting to different personal styles and cultures
  • Curiosity: Insatiable thirst for learning every day
  • Flexibility: Adaptability and flexibility in diverse work environments. Ability to juggle a wide variety of situations
  • Organization: Organization, precision, and attention to detail
  • Language: English; French is a plus.

Your Work Environment

In this department, you will join the Property & Casualty Actuarial team (7 members), which is responsible for validating the technical solidity of the balance sheet and, more specifically, the level of technical provisions (€100 billion) as well as monitoring technical profitability (rate increases, claims development).
