We are a SaaS software as a service company, and our content service platform AODocs is used by 500 customers, including large enterprises like Equifax, Solvay or Air Liquide to manage their business critical documents. AODocs ensures that information is easily accessible by the people who need it, while being protected against unauthorized content and human errors, and that business processes are properly followed, with full traceability. For example, AODocs helps Google ensure the design documents of its data centers are properly controlled, accelerating the construction projects while avoiding costly mistakes.

AODocs is a growing and profitable company, recognized (by top analyst firm Gartner, and by its own customers) as one of the most modern solutions in a market populated by legacy, pre-cloud systems like OpenText, IBM Filenet, Hyland and others. This market is now being disrupted by the new generative AI technologies, which allows software to understand the content of a company’s documents, and thus to automate tasks that previously required human work, such as document tagging, data extraction from unstructured text, or analysis of complex documents.

We are looking for a highly motivated Senior Data Analyst to join our growing data team!

As a Senior Data Analyst in charge of Data projects, you will deliver dashboards and reports ​​providing data insights according to our customers needs. You are used to work with professional services teams and you understand how to interact with both customers and development teams. You are very careful about how your results are presented. To double check your results and pay attention to details is now a second nature and you like to transform complex data into comprehensive stories.

Core responsibilities:

We have hundreds of customers and they can’t wait to work with us to produce key reports for their organization.

You will:

• coordinate with developers and services team to help specify and execute

• own and develop data transformations and presentations for one or more projects

• write SQL queries, produce spreadsheets and create dashboards

• Provide feedbacks to product team to improve the ease of use of our data products

How the data team works:

• The data team is currently composed of 2 data analysts, 1 lead data analyst and 1 data engineer.

• Communication is done at the office, or through email, Google Docs, Slack and Google meet.

• As a team we really enjoy sharing our progress and difficulties with each other. There is always someone who will be happy to help you!

• Every two weeks we also have a feedback session where we reflect on what was good and what we should improve as a team.

You:

• Are really good with numbers - in both the accountant way (producing correct numbers with a correct process) and the physicist way (you have a real physical feel for numbers, and frame problems as equations)

• Love spreadsheets and SQL

• Like making nice visual representations of the data, whether ad hoc spreadsheet charts or real-time updating dashboards

• You care a lot about making data understandable and are a great at explaining your thoughts

• As a problem solver, you ask your own questions and are excited about diving into unchartered datasets to explore them

• You’re not scared of messy legacy data sets

Qualifications:

• Education: BA/BS degree in Mathematics, Probability and Statistics, Micro-economics or related field, or equivalent practical experience

• Dashboarding: You have experience with multiple BI tools such as Data Studio, Looker, Power BI, Tableau. You are also very comfortable with spreadsheets.

• Numbers and data: You know SQL and are able to execute the most common operations (Join, filter, union)

• Experience: 3+ years as a data or technical business analyst

• Numbers and data: You’re good at making spreadsheets that are understandable, you know SQL. You are familiar with multiple probability distributions.

• Language: fluent English, French is a very big plus (the data team is French at the moment)

• Collaboration: you are organized, able to manage multiple projects at the same time, and know how to report progress in a clear and interesting way.
