At Abundant Earth, we help combat the biodiversity crisis by helping the some of the biggest companies that make our world work value nature. These companies are being pressured by both regulation and nature-related risk to restore nature, but lack data access to inform their decisions.

📅 The position is open for a starting between March 2024 to June 2024, ideally for a six-month internship.

We are opening a founder’s associate role for an intern with an entrepreneurial mindset to work alongside the COO (& the CEO) on a wide range of strategic and operational initiatives.

This position is designed for highly motivated and exceptional candidates as the roles and responsibilities may change on a daily basis. You will be working closely with the COO’s leadership to propel our business forward to where we need it to be.

We seek someone with an entrepreneurial mindset, who can likely function well in a business development and analyst role — helping the founding team understand the state of the biodiversity market and how we may best position ourselves with our product offering on the market itself. You may be asked to research areas of the market to help us with our strategy.

❗ In support of the COO (& the CEO), your responsibilities could look like:

• understanding and reviewing the sales pipeline analytics

• maintaining a list of prospects based on the current segmentation strategy

• participating in defining customer profiling

• coordinating the company’s marketing strategy (social media, content, partnerships etc)

• reviewing marketing material

• conducting market research

• are able to speak English and French on a professional level. (We work primarily in English)

• are passionate about finding actionable solutions related to climate change and biodiversity loss.

• are a self-starter and can function well and deliver value with or without specific direction provided.

• have a hacker mentality - delivering something that works over something that is perfect.

• are a doer. You are prone to action, creating rather than simply planning.

• are able to handle changes in stride. We are early stage and are reacting to an early market, so it is important you are able to adjust goals and priorities with us as we change.

• are able to take on and balance a variety of tasks with competing priorities. You may be asked to spend a few days exploring some subject and create a report on it, research a market segment, and report on it. You may even be asked to handle non-business-critical tasks like developing HR processes.

🤺 hard(-er) Qualifications

• You are pursuing or recently completed a masters-level or masters-level equivalent business/engineering degree, or have a similar level of education through self-study. Nontraditional education paths will be considered!

• Are able to live in or near Paris and normally work in person at our office in Station F.

• Have EU work authorization
