We’re looking for a Head of Finance to take full ownership of Animaj’s financial operations and help shape the future of one of the fastest-growing media companies.
You’ll report directly to the CEO and work hand-in-hand with the leadership team to build a best-in-class finance function. We’re looking for someone hands-on, structured, and rigorous, who thrives in fast-paced, complex, international environments and enjoys getting things done as much as designing scalable systems.
You’ll structure the systems, tools, and processes that enable financial efficiency and control across multiple entities, currencies, and jurisdictions while driving strategic decisions around M&A, debt financing, and production investments.
If you love complexity, impact, and the challenge of building something big from the ground up, this role was made for you.
Strategic Finance: Define and execute Animaj’s financial strategy, aligning budgeting and forecasting with company growth plans.
Financial Operations: Oversee group accounting, consolidation, intercompany flows, tax compliance, and audit across entities.
M&A & Financing: Lead due diligence, integration, and financial modelling for acquisitions, refinancing, and new ventures.
Cash & Capital Management: Optimise working capital, treasury, and production financing (including tax incentives, rebates, and subsidies).
Reporting & FP&A: Deliver timely, accurate financial statements, forecasts, and insights for leadership and investors.
Systems & Processes: Implement scalable financial tools and automation for group-wide reporting and control.
Team Leadership: Build and mentor a high-performing finance team with clear ownership and operational excellence.
8+ years in finance, including 4+ in M&A / Audit (Big 4) and 4+ in FP&A / Finance Ops for international scale-ups.
Proven ability to build and manage multi-entity finance structures — consolidation, intercompany flows, tax optimisation.
Solid understanding of withholding taxes, tax incentives, and subsidy frameworks (CNC, ICEX, UK rebates, etc.).
Experience in media, entertainment, or IP-driven businesses is a plus (but not required).
Advanced Excel & financial modelling; comfortable with ERP / BI / automation tools.
Hands-on, structured leader who scales systems and teams**.**
You are an excellent communicator who turns data into strategy for execs and investors.
You enjoy an extremely fast-paced environment and can prioritise, decide, and deliver under pressure.
Experience in media or IP-based businesses preferred.
Fluent in English and French (Spanish a plus).

You’ve launched the setup of the new U.S. entity and ensured the new joint venture is fully operational from a financial standpoint (go-live January 1).
After 90 days at Animaj:
You’ve delivered the first Content Ultimate Value Analysis, identifying where to rechannel production investment toward the most profitable and scalable content.
You’ve designed a roadmap for financial systems and process improvements to scale with growth.
You’ve strengthened internal controls and reporting cadence across all subsidiaries.
You’re leading cash management, consolidations, and early M&A or refinancing workstreams.
You’ve built trust with investors, lenders, and key external advisors
After 6 months at Animaj
You’ve delivered an integrated monthly group reporting process across all entities (French holding, UK and US Subsidiaries, Spanish branch)
You’ve implemented a scalable budgeting and forecasting framework for 2026.
You’ve optimised cash management and tax efficiency (incl. production tax rebate) across jurisdictions.
