The position

Job description

We are now looking for an ambitious and hands-on **Data Engineer** to join our team and build with us the Operating System that will help cities and transportation services thrive in the mobility revolution. As a Database Architect you will be responsible for building and maintaining our application relational database and our datawarehouse along with pipelines, that are at the heart of Vianova mobility data platform. Your skills will be precious in shaping the way cities, transportation services, OEMs, infrastructure owners and other businesses exchange mobility data seamlessly.

🎯 Your missions :

  • Modelize business logic regarding transportation, geography and regulatory enforcements

  • Create, maintain and optimise data processing pipelines in the data warehouse, in order to handle billions of real time IoT mobility samples per day, and apply ML/AI to automatically extract insights for cities and operators

  • Operate daily the relational database (postgresql) and datawarehouse (snowflake), and recommend improvements

Preferred experience

About you:

We are looking for someone with:

  • Degree in Computer Sciences, related technical field or equivalent practical experience

  • Mandatory experience in relational and non-relational database management (Snowflake, DBT, PostgreSQL) with large data set manipulation & pipelines

  • Knowledge of Python (previous job or personal work) — Preferred knowledge of RESTful and JSON APIs development

  • Full capacity to setup/deploy new features with modern CI/CD and deployment tool chain by adopting state of the art version control and release management

  • Required previous experience with cloud databases — Knowledge of data ingestion and serverless architecture

  • Strong analytical reasoning and algorithmic skills for interpreting mobility and geo data

  • Problem solving oriented, enthusiastic to work on strong technical challenges
