📚 Squad philosophy

A squad should be the owner of a scoped part of the application.

This ownership should be vertical, from feature discovery to technical implementation and maintenance.

    • 🔍 Slack time : every developer has time allowed to do something else than the sprint tasks

    • 💞 Pair-programming : during each sprint, you should work as much as possible with your partner and change roles (driver and observer).

    • 🏃 🏃‍♀️ Scrum sprints

    • 👀 Review groups : for each sprint, you will be asked to review the code of several developers and you can request some reviews from the technical team.

    • ☎️ On-call process : instead of having all developers work on these on-call tasks during the sprint, only one developer is responsible for those tasks (weekly rotation).

First of all, you'll start with the classic onboarding for all employees (more information in "Inside Shipup" tab )

Then, you'll have a specific tech onboarding

1️⃣ 1st sprint

  • You'll have to manage a first task with a small scope that is not scored, but is included in the sprint

  • You'll have many product & tech meetings in order to help you understand how we work.

2️⃣ 2nd sprint

  • You'll start the sprint like the others but with some resources reserved for your development

Your manager will regularly follow your development and your integration within Shipup.

At Shipup, our mission is to create a seamless, proactive and branded post-purchase experience for online retailers. 🛍🛒

Shipup is a SaaS company that tracks in real time the orders and deliveries of online retailers in order to create a seamless, branded and reassuring post-purchase experience (proactive and live notifications, customized tracking pages, customer surveys at delivery…). Thanks to Shipup, ordering online is less stressful. Online shoppers are more satisfied, they complain less and buy again more.

The company has been created at the end of 2016 by Romain, Terence and Quentin : 3 co-founders from HEC Paris and Centrale Paris who used to work for Drivy (acquired by Getaround), Rocket Internet, Casper and Dashlane.

Shipup works with more than 400 brands in Europe and North America, some of which are very successful digitally native brands (Cheerz, Blissim, Withings, Feed., Le Petit Ballon, Respire, Aime, Na-Kd, Ssense, Ysé, A.P.C. …) while others are larger, more traditional accounts (Leclerc, Carrefour, Intermarché, Go Sport, Yves Rocher…).

June 30th 2020 : Shipup announces a 6m€ series A in order to open an office in New York and recruit 45 people in the next 12 months.
