The context of the recruitment ###

Today, our Design Studio is led by Jan-Simon Veicht, Head of Design, for all our offices: San Francisco (United States), Paris (France) and Ho Chi Minh (Vietnam).
As Jan is based in San Francisco, we are looking for the person who will be his right hand in Paris.

Your daily work life

As a senior designer, you will have three main missions:

• Approximately 45% of your time: you will work directly on our clients’ projects, with both a strategic and creative role (prototyping, design, project management, etc). You will be integrated directly into Schoolab’s project teams to design products or services.

• Approximately 45% of your time: You will be involved in the design of Schoolab’s internal products, such as open innovation programs for students, or startup programs. Your goal will be to design the experience and simplify the operation and marketing of the product.

• The rest of the time, you will be in charge of spreading the design culture in the company and its best practices. Concretely:
  You will animate the community of freelance designers we work with.
  You’ll be their reference to help them improve their skills, to become even better and to keep them loyal.
  You will set up design training courses for Schoolab employees.

With whom?

You will work closely with Jan, to whom you will report.

This position is for you if…

• You have an academic background in design,
• You have more than 5 years of experience and a solid portfolio,
• You know and share the Human Centered Design (HCD) philosophy,
• You master visual design tools such as Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator and XD, Figma
• You also know how to create quick and dirty prototypes (for example, animations with AfterEffects, clicks with Keynote, interactive prototypes with Figma/XD, etc.)
• You have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• You are fluent in English (in addition to French).
