Job description
You will be leading the team in charge of Quandela’s foundational IT systems (identities, devices, network, common applications) across the Group
You will lead a four-person team and take ownership of Quandela’s internal IT and information systems, spanning infrastructure, business applications, data governance and cybersecurity
Your mission will be to ensure reliable day-to-day operations while building the systems and organisation needed to support our growth towards 250 employees, five international subsidiaries, two production sites and research laboratories. Your scope will cover corporate IT and internal operational environments, excluding product cloud infrastructure
Combining hands-on leadership with a strong understanding of business needs, you will help shape how our information systems support the company’s development. This role offers the opportunity to grow towards a Group position over approximately 18 months, depending on your contribution, demonstrated readiness and the company’s evolving needs
IT strategy and governance: Define and own the Group’s information systems roadmap. Work with business leaders to prioritise projects and investments, clarify ownership and report on progress, service quality and key risks
Team leadership : Manage and develop the IT team, organize responsibilities and build the right balance of internal expertise, external providers and local support
IT operations and international support: Ensure reliable infrastructure and responsive user support across HQ and subsidiaries. Oversee devices, identities, access management, networks, collaboration tools and internal cloud-hosted services, applying shared standards while accommodating local needs
Business applications and integration: Partner with Finance, HR, Procurement, Supply Chain, Production and R&D to translate operational needs into appropriate solutions. Oversee application selection, integration and lifecycle management, ensuring clear ownership and coherent information flows
Production and laboratory IT: Work with Industrialisation, Engineering and Science teams to support equipment connectivity, dedicated workstations and experimental and production data environments. Agree responsibilities for equipment interfaces, maintenance and changes, taking operational constraints into account
Cybersecurity and resilience: Lead the implementation of IT security policies, access controls, monitoring and incident response. Maintain and test backup, restoration and disaster recovery arrangements, with recovery priorities agreed with the relevant teams
Data governance: Establish practical rules with business owners for data access, quality, storage, retention and sharing, in coordination with the relevant privacy and security stakeholders
Budget and supplier management: Own the IT budget, investment planning, contracts and licences. Assess costs, risks and expected benefits, and manage supplier performance
Support changes to systems and ways of working through communication, training and documentation
Your priorities for the first 12–18 months:
Establish a shared roadmap: Assess the existing infrastructure, applications and critical data flows, and agree a prioritised transformation plan with management and business owners
Structure scalable IT services: Formalise the service catalogue, support processes, onboarding and offboarding, and service indicators. Define a consistent deployment and support model for subsidiaries, production sites and laboratories
Strengthen security and continuity: Advance device and network hardening, zero-trust access principles and segmentation for sensitive activities. Clarify the roadmap against relevant security requirements and frameworks, including GHI, NIS2 and ISO 27001, and test recovery capabilities
Simplify and connect the application landscape: Rationalise collaboration tools and priority business applications, improve integrations and reduce duplication. Develop a sovereignty-conscious, open source-first approach where compatible with security, usability and operational requirements
Preferred experience
A track record of delivering cross-functional systems projects, from business requirements and solution selection through integration, deployment and user adoption
Ability to translate business priorities into an actionable roadmap, explain technical choices clearly and support investment decisions with senior management
Experience with business applications, system integration and data governance. Exposure to international, multisite organisations and industrial or research environments would be a strong advantage
Strong technical grounding in Microsoft environments, including Intune, Entra, Defender, M365 and Windows security, alongside network administration and cloud infrastructure. Familiarity with containerised workloads and deployment automation would be valuable
A collaborative leadership style, combining the ability to delegate and develop others with a willingness to contribute directly. Comfortable working with scientists, engineers and business teams
Practical cybersecurity expertise, including risk assessment, identity and access management, infrastructure hardening, monitoring and business continuity
Strong communication skills in French and English, both spoken and written
Experience leading an IT or information systems function, or a substantial part of one, with responsibility for team management, budgets, suppliers and operational delivery
