The position

Job description

For 20 years, Lucca has been developing SaaS solutions to increase employee efficiency and engagement. We address the main administrative and HR management issues: time and activities, expense reports, personnel administration, annual reviews, and measuring well-being at work.

Our solutions are used today by over one million users in all types of companies (from the chic hotel chain Accor to the surf brand Rip Curl) and particularly in those with strong growth developing internationally (Deezer, Michel & Augustin...).

While we operate in the very serious field of management tools, our work is guided by the belief that a management software doesn't have to be gray, ugly, or boring. That's why we attach great importance to the design of our interfaces and the user experience.

Our workforce, which currently stands at +500 people, keeps growing in France (Paris, Marseille, Nantes), but also in our new offices: Spain (Barcelona) and Switzerland (Geneva)!

Job Description:

So, what would you be part of?

Localization is currently part of the International team, a young and talented crew that successfully pitched the idea of ramping up localization at Lucca.

Our Localization manager laid the groundwork for a localization program and has been nurturing a dream since day one – to discover a like-minded fellow adventurer willing to unite forces for an authentically global odyssey here at Lucca!

To give you some context…

Lucca is experiencing rapid growth, at an average of 40% per year. As the number of clients operating in different countries increases, we want to offer the best possible user experience to their employees.

Our software solutions are available in 7 locales and French is our Source language. Our content lives on various cloud-based systems and we are currently using 2 TMS (Lokalise and Crowdin).

Given the growing content volume and the increasing demand for quality, it's high time for us to welcome a Localization Project Manager to help us grow and facilitate our Localization program in place.

Your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to manage all L10N projects, focusing on optimization, making translations more qualitative, ensuring terminological consistency, and streamlining processes.

And, what will you do exactly?

You will have a cross-functional role and you will need to be the fusion of a linguist, a tech guru, a cultural connoisseur, and a master planner.

You will be taking the coolest bits from different job roles and creating your own awesome hybrid Localization PM job.

If you think you are that person, keep those skills sharp and you'll be the superstar of our Localization world!

More details on missions:

Mission 1: Coordinating and documenting

Mission 2: Creating, monitoring, tracking

- Overseeing end-to-end localization workflow across teams and audiences, using translation management tools and systems.

- Proactively assessing project risks through prioritization, bug management, and any other means necessary.

- Creating, tracking and monitoring translation projects.

- Managing requests, content updates and dependencies.

- Monitoring progress, statuses, automated results, and reports.

- Balancing translation costs and project budgets.

Mission 3: Quality, data management and problem solving

- Ensuring Quality Assurance of localized software builds.

- Ensuring terminology consistency within software and business content.

- Updating, maintaining, migrating data in all formats (ideally comfortable with regex).

- Ensuring proper segmentation and reuse of legacy translation.

- Tracking regressions in translation and ensuring that terminology changes or fixes are propagated to Translation Memories, glossaries, assets or software strings.

- Investigate escalated I18N or L10N issues and organize fixes’ deployment.
