Position Overview

📌 The Department: People

The Global Business Team at Jus Mundi comprises over 20 people from different countries and cultures, united by a common goal of making international law more accessible worldwide and powering global justice. We work with clients in over 80 countries, from Chile to Japan and from Norway to South Africa. 💙

📌 The Role: Head of APAC

As the Head of APAC, you will be responsible for leading our business development efforts in the APAC region.

You won’t be starting from scratch, as we already have over 50 clients (law firms, governments, universities, third-party funders, corporates) in Asia-Pacific.

Your role will involve maintaining, developing, and enhancing the Jus Mundi brand in the APAC region, expanding our network of partner institutions, improving our marketing approach, and building strong relationships with clients and partners.

You will be a key player in our mission to expand our presence and drive revenue growth in the APAC region.

📌 What You’ll Be Doing

  • Plan, organize and represent Jus Mundi in the APAC region both as a participant and speaker at events and on different panels. Additionally, ensure the coordination of Jus Mundi-led activities within the Asian legal community.

  • Support company’s sales efforts in the APAC region through product/sales demos and meeting with key decision makers.

  • Develop, sustain, and deepen collaboration with governments, arbitral institutions, law firms, bar associations.

  • Conduct market research and analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and competitive landscape in the APAC region.

  • Develop and oversee the execution of a strategic vision and operation plan, in coordination with Jus Mundi business strategy, that support and advance Jus Mundi overall purpose, vision, and mission.

  • Work closely with other departments, such as Global Relations, Marketing, Product Development, and Customer Support, to align strategies and ensure seamless execution.


Preferred experience

Preferred experience & skills

  • 14+ years of experience in international law, arbitration, or any other legal area.

  • Several years of experience in business development, sales, marketing or strategy.

  • Be comfortable addressing partners and senior executives in law firms and institutions, and negotiating agreements with them.

  • Deep understanding of business culture in different APAC countries.

  • Fluent in English, other languages are a plus (i.e., Korean, Japanese, Chinese).

  • Ability to operate in a rapidly-changing, fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to think strategically and execute effectively.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

  • Demonstrate capacity to excel both autonomously and as a collaborative team member.
