Job description
You will join our Operations team as its software engineering backbone
Our business systems (CRM, marketing automation, data warehouse, classroom platform, billing and logistics) are a large distributed ecosystem
Until now we have run them with hybrid profiles that combine business understanding with hands-on building
As we scale across markets, we need someone who brings real software engineering discipline to Operations: clean architecture, testing, observability, reliability and maintainability
You will design, build and own the integrations, automations and internal tools that Sales, Marketing, Customer Success and Finance rely on every day and make them as robust as possible
Building and owning integrations between our core systems (Salesforce, Iterable, the Classroom Manager platform, Jira, the data warehouse, billing and others), with proper error handling, retries, idempotency and monitoring
Developing on the CRM platform (Apex, Lightning Web Components, Flows) and replacing no-code spaghetti with maintainable, tested code where it makes sense
Designing data pipelines and syncs that keep our systems consistent at scale, and diagnosing why they drift (data quality, API limits, payload edge cases)
Creating internal tools and services that automate manual processes for Revenue and Operations teams, from small scripts to full applications
Work with engineering standards: version control, code review, CI/CD, environments, documentation and incident post-mortems
Taking part in incident resolution across the Operations ecosystem. You will find the root cause and then fix the structural problem so it doesn’t come back
Evaluating build vs. buy vs. configure with sound technical judgment, and being honest about trade-offs and cost
Working closely with Engineering and Data so Operations systems and the product platform evolve coherently
Using AI agents and automation to speed up your own development and to design AI-assisted workflows for the business
Mentoring colleagues with hybrid or less technical profiles, raising the technical bar of the team
💻 What You’ll Work With:
Salesforce, Iterable, Make, Databricks/dbt, Metabase, Jira and our own Classroom Manager APIs, alongside the web, mobile and data platforms built by the Engineering teams. You don’t need to know all of it. We expect you to learn fast and bring strong engineering fundamentals
Benefits
Flexible schedules
Personal and professional development and growth plan
Young, enthusiastic and dynamic environment
Innovamat Retreat at least a couple of times a year
Team building days
All the coffee, water, milk and tea, separately or mixed, that you can drink 😉
Preferred experience
Experience integrating third-party SaaS platforms (CRM, marketing automation, billing, ERP) is a big plus
We move fast: You’ll work in a dynamic environment where things evolve quickly and there’s always something new to build
Fluent English and conversational Spanish
Experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS) and infrastructure as code
Background in marketing automation (Iterable, HubSpot, Braze…) and email/data deliverability
We are eager to learn: We value curiosity, feedback, and people who are constantly looking for ways to improve
High autonomy and ownership. You can take a vague operational pain point and turn it into a reliable solution
Technical judgment: you understand trade-offs, write code that others can maintain, and know when not to build something
A degree in Computer Science or a related field is welcome, but we value demonstrated ability above all
Experience with iPaaS/automation tools (Make, Zapier, n8n) and knowing their limits
We aim high: We’re working to improve mathematics education at scale, and we set ambitious goals to make it happen
Interest in the business side of what you build. You want to understand how Sales, Marketing and Customer Success work, so you solve their real problem and not just the ticket
5+ years of professional experience as a software developer (backend or full-stack), with solid fundamentals: data structures, APIs, testing, version control and debugging complex systems
Early-adopter mindset with AI coding agents and automation tools
Experience with Salesforce development (Apex, LWC, SOQL, deployments) or another enterprise CRM
Experience with Databricks, dbt, Metabase or a similar data stack
We enjoy the ride: We’re an international, mission-driven team that believes high performance and a strong sense of community can go hand in hand
We are humble: We believe the best ideas can come from anywhere and that great work happens through collaboration
Good SQL skills and comfort working with data models and analytical data (warehouse, ETL/ELT)
We are owners: You’ll have real responsibility, autonomy, and the opportunity to see your work directly shape our growth
Experience designing and consuming REST/GraphQL APIs, webhooks and asynchronous processes, and handling their failure modes
Previous experience in a B2B or edtech company
Strong command of at least one general-purpose language (Python, TypeScript/JavaScript, Java/Apex or PHP) and willingness to learn others quickly
