As Malt is growing and scaling, we are looking for motivated individuals to join our Global Community team in the UAE. The Community team's mission is to attract and activate the most high-value freelancers, engage them in the community, take responsibility for their experience, and directly contribute to the growth of the company.

As a Community Builder UAE, your mission is to drive platform adoption and foster community loyalty by connecting with key local freelancers. You will act as the bridge between our global framework and the UAE market, executing engaging programs and locally relevant events to generate business value.

Key responsibilities ✨

• Global to Local Execution: Adapt and implement global community initiatives into the UAE market, ensuring global programs are seamlessly localized to drive strong regional engagement and adoption.

• Community Engagement & Outreach: Take full ownership of engaging a high-quality local ecosystem. You will proactively source, connect with, and nurture key profiles through events, local content, portfolio management, and 1:1 interactions to transform them into an active network of brand advocates.

• Event & Content Activation: Design and execute a "must-attend" event roadmap and high-value content tailored to the UAE (newsletters, articles, localized communications) to activate the community and establish Malt's presence in the local freelance scene.

• Business Alignment & Sales Synergy: Act as a vital link between community programs and local Sales goals, collaborating cross-functionally to ensure every community initiative aligns with business objectives and supports local growth.

• Ecosystem Partnerships & Performance: Establish relationships with key local actors (Chambers of Commerce, freelance permit providers) to expand visibility while tracking and reporting on community metrics to drive continuous improvement.

• Background & Experience: 3+ years of experience in Sales, Event Management, Community Activation, or Project Management.

• Regional Experience: Proven experience living/working in the Middle East (ideally UAE), with a solid grasp of local market dynamics and business etiquette.

• Hands-on & Autonomous Builder: Comfortable building from scratch in an emerging market with a high degree of execution autonomy. You thrive in operational, fast-paced environments and take pride in getting things done.

• Concrete Project & Event Management: Proven ability to organize end-to-end events (logistics, invitations, execution) and deploy practical outreach campaigns.

• Relationship & Service Mindset: Natural connector who loves engaging directly with people, organizing gatherings, and building genuine, trust-based relationships with freelancers.

• Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to write engaging event copy and outreach emails.

• Languages: Professional fluency in English is required; French and/or Arabic is a strong plus.

• First call with our Talent Acquisition Partner, Esra, to better understand your background, aspirations and answer any questions you may have. (30-45 minutes)

• Track Record Interview with your future manager Lena, to discuss your experience and the role in more detail. (60 minutes)

• Case study with two of our Senior Community Managers. (60 minutes)

• Final interview with a C-level executive to discuss Malt’s long-term vision. (30 minutes)

• We will invite you to our Dubaï office to meet with the team!

🤝 Onboarding: Before easing into your new role, you’ll spend your first week learning about our culture, products, and services with other onboardees at our office in Paris.

💻 Remote work: Hybrid remote policy - 3 days office / 2 days home-office.

🏖️ Annual leave: 30 days/year.

📆 Sabbatical: 1 month paid sabbatical once you've been with Malt for 3 years.
