6 months final year internship in our Paris office (from February 2024)! We’re looking for a Software Developer - Engine team

⭐ About the team:

Made up of six subteams (Dashboard, Engine, Infrastructure, Integrations, Threat Research & Security), the DataDome tech team is spread across Europe and the US. We handle over 2 000 billion events per day giving responses within 3ms (99p). We are present in more than 25 data centers around the world, deployed using Docker.

We deploy on AWS, Scaleway, Vultr, and GCP, using Docker, Ansible and Terraform, and monitor with Grafana and Prometheus. We handle an average of 8 billion requests per day and manage more than 300 TB of data per month.

When it comes to our stack, we run real-time detection layer in Java, low latency Stream Engine running on Flink in Scala, ElasticSearch for storage, Kafka for communication between layers, HAProxy for load balancing, Symfony 6 & Angular 15 for our dashboards. We use Slack, GitHub, Hangouts, & StackOverflow for Teams. While previous experience in cyber is not a must, we'll pair you with mentors who will help you bridge the gaps. The [engine] team:

Our Engine team is currently composed of 11 engineers and is looking for an intern Software Developer who thrives for technical challenges, will design new detection components and help us improve our current solutions

• Contributing to our stream analysis platform to improve our detection quality
• Simulating new bot detection functionalities on large data sets
• Participating to the improvement of our server side integrated modules
• Taking part in the team agile ceremonies: sprint planning, retros...

👤It would be great if...

• You are looking for 6 months internship during your final year of study for a master degree or Engineering School
• Have a strong programming background in Java or Scala
• Have a great experience working in Unix/Linux environments
• Care about code quality, simplicity and performance

Bonus points

• You've worked at high scale with systems like Apache Flink, MariaDB, Redis, Akka actors, Kafka or ElasticSearch
• You wrote your own crawler once or twice before
• You understand how internet works
