Job description

What does a Data Analyst at CoderPad do?

As an early hire on the Analytics team at CoderPad, you’ll be highly impactful in empowering stakeholders across the company with insights and recommendations to drive CoderPad’s revenue growth! You’ll spend your time combing and analyzing our data, presenting insights to internal stakeholders, building dashboards, and iterating on our data as a product.

You are ideal for the role if you are insatiably curious and love digging into data to answer key business questions! We’re looking for someone highly analytical, data-driven, and business-minded – who is not only comfortable translating ambiguous requests into technical requirements, but who can also communicate a story with data.

Reporting to the Sr Analytics Manager, you’ll work autonomously and partner with other Analytics and Product team members. If you meet most of the experience below, are excited about the opportunity and willing to learn, we encourage you to apply!

Key Sample Projects

  • Using SQL to query and analyze data to present to stakeholders and support decision making
  • Building new reporting tables in our data warehouse for use by stakeholders; occasionally automating reports as dashboards
  • Partnering with Product, Sales/CS, and Marketing to better understand and provide visibility into Net Revenue Retention numbers
  • Analyzing our customer acquisition funnel to understand if experiments are leading to valuable revenue opportunities for the company

Preferred experience

More than just skills, first and foremost, we are looking for personalities! But here’s what you’ll need to boss your job:

Successful Experience:

  • You are fluent in English, written and spoken. Half of our team is based in the US. All our written documents (specifications, slack, etc) and many of our meetings are in English.
  • 3+ years of experience in a quantitative analysis role, preferably supporting a product or marketing function (at a SaaS/B2B technology company is a plus)
  • Advanced proficiency in SQL and comfortable working within a data warehouse environment (interest in a scripting language like Python or R is a plus)
  • Experience with web-based BI tools, e.g. Looker, Sisense, Mode, etc.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to synthesize, communicate and present insights from data to non-technical stakeholders
  • Experience with prioritizing tasks and setting expectations with stakeholders
  • Passionate about making a big impact at a growing product-first company
  • You are analytical with a bias towards action

Work environment/Compensation

  • Strong company culture and values
  • Meaningful work with high impact for a well-loved product
  • Stock options with 4-yr vesting schedule
  • Remote-friendly environment + monthly stipend
  • Mac/PC computer + in-home work station setup
  • Internal mobility and growth opportunities
  • Diversity and social good initiatives
  • Annual company-wide offsite with travel, accommodations & meals covered
  • If you are in Montpellier : corporate concierge, afterworks, and… the sea is only 12km away from the office!
