We are now looking for Senior Software Engineers who think beyond stacks and layers. Engineers who see technology as a means to deliver business and product impact. Engineers with a strong core expertise and the curiosity to expand horizontally, true T-Shaped profiles. 

In a context where engineering practices are rapidly evolving from platform thinking to AI assisted development and agentic IDEs, adaptability, ownership, product mindset, ability to dive deep and problem-solving matter more than a specific language on your résumé.

YOUR ROLE WITHIN BETCLIC 🔥 

In this role, your main missions will be: 

Designing, building and maintaining product in an end-to-end fashion 

Contributing to product discovery and technical decision making with a strong business outcome mindset 

Writing clean, scalable and maintainable code across different layers of our architecture 

Ensuring performance, reliability and security of the product you develop, while being cost efficient. 

Participating in code reviews and actively contributing to continuous improvement of engineering practices 

Collaborating closely with Product Managers, Designers and other Engineers in outcome-oriented squads 

Leveraging modern development tools, including AI assisted environments, to enhance productivity and quality 

Taking ownership of your features from idea to production, including monitoring and continuous improvement 

TECHNICAL ENVIRONMENT ➡️ 

We do not define engineers by a single language, framework, or layer of the stack. Our environment is built around modern product engineering practices, and we look for people who can apply strong fundamentals across different technical contexts. 

You can expect to work on topics such as: 

• Backend services and APIs and serverless architecture 

• Frontend applications and design patterns 

• Distributed and event-driven architectures 

• Multi-cloud infrastructure and delivery pipelines 

• Databases and their trade-offs (relational, documents, key-value stores) 

• Observability, monitoring, and production diagnosis 

Our current stack includes technologies such as: 

• Languages & frameworks: Kotlin, .NET, Rust, Python, Angular, TypeScript 

• Architecture: Microservices, lambdas, event-driven systems, REST APIs 

• Cloud & DevOps: AWS, Azure, CI/CD pipelines & managed services 

• Databases: PostgreSQL, DynamoDB 

• Observability & Monitoring: Datadog 

You do not need to come from this exact stack. Experience with equivalent ecosystems is highly relevant. What we value is your ability to transfer concepts, navigate complexity, and grow beyond one technical specialty.

This job is for you if: 

You have a solid experience in software engineering and have already worked across both backend and frontend layers 

You have an expertise in backend or frontend and are you are not limiting yourself to that expertise.  

Cloud infrastructure and DevOps are also a significative part of your typical day. 

You understand that technologies are means, and you focus primarily on delivering value 

You have a strong sense of ownership and accountability for what you build 

You are comfortable working in agile, product-first environments 

You are curious about current practices such as AI assisted development and modern engineering workflows 

You aim for high standards without compromising on pragmatism 

You are able to communicate in English 

WHAT ARE THE RECRUITMENT STEPS? 📝 

If your application is shortlisted, Sébastien will contact you within a week for an initial HR screening (30 minutes).  

Then, you will complete the AssessFirst test (personality, motivation and cognitive reasoning). 

Next, you will meet your future Engineering Manager, followed by the Head of Engineering.  

Within 2 weeks, you will be required to complete a technical test and you will be allowed to use Agentic IDE. 

Finally, Sébastien will conduct a final HR interview to review your AssessFirst results together.  

The recruitment process usually takes between 4 to 6 weeks to ensure an optimal experience for you.
