20 millions
people we motivate to walk
WeWard is a French startup based in Paris, founded in 2019 by four engineers. It now has 40 employees working to build the app that motivates over 20 million users to walk every day through a reward system. On average, a WeWard user increases their walking time by 24%. The application is available in 7 European countries and also in Japan and the US.
WeWard is growing at double-digit rates every month and has already reached profitability in 2022. Its benevolent business model has already enabled it to donate more than €4.5 million to its users and €600,000 to charities.

Our vision: To make walking a part of everyday life for as many people as possible around the world, whatever it takes!
Walking is at the heart of three positive benefits. Firstly, it is a vector of health that is accessible to all. It is an environmentally friendly means of travel that replaces many carbon-intensive trips. Finally, it is a social activity that connects people with their local community.
For these reasons, WeWard wants to promote walking by creating powerful motivational factors.

Our values: S.T.E.P.S - Succeed Trust Explore Progress & Smile
Although the ambition and determination of our employees are essential factors for success, it is by working as a team, in good humour, with confidence and without micro-management that we wish to develop.
We operate on a test & learn model. Each employee can experiment with new strategies, implement new practices and explore new solutions. The main thing is to persevere and progress!
By becoming a mission-driven company that promotes walking, WeWard directly addresses three of the Sustainable Development Goals set out in the UN Agenda 2030:
