About The Role:

This role can be based either in Paris, Rennes, Lyon, Tel Aviv, Barcelona or is open to remote.

If so, we are looking for a Frontend Software Engineer for our Design System Core Team.

Challenges related to Design System are many: beyond providing an exhaustive library of visual components that are easy to use, a good design system must be well documented and tested; ensure compliance with a11y and allow to display data in many different ways.

As a member of this team, you will work on a day to day basis with UX designers and other Software engineers to improve the ContentSquare Design System. 

We’re looking for an enthusiastic follower of good practice with at least 5 years’ experience of front end development with a strong focus on the implementation of a library of components.

 We highly value user experience, the quality of the interfaces we deploy, and the quality of the code written. This is especially important for components that are used by dozens of software engineers. 

Being capable of designing components that are open enough for customization without allowing their usage to be diverted is key.

You’d be joining a team of 50+ full-stack engineers where the average experience is 6 years in the industry, with many close to 10 years.

We run regular internal sessions to share knowledge and we form tech guilds on complex subjects to figure out challenges and solutions to them. 

We work with some of the biggest websites and apps across the world and we’re always pushing the boundaries of what’s possible at this scale. 

With pushes to production at least once a day you’ll be motivated by seeing your work go live quickly and add value to our clients. 

- Develop and implement new components of the Design System

- Implement any needed tool to help Quality engineers to validate a new version of the Design System (visual regression, …)

- Write good quality code and build out test automation (unit and functional tests).

- Write documentation for any new component

- Communication: Work closely with members feature team to ensure components of the Design System fit their needs; Act as Design System advocate; Work closely with a11y expert to ensure compliance with a11y WCAG

- Stack / Tools: Typescript, StencilJS, D3JS, WebComponent Storybook
