As an Onshore Senior Tender Manager, you will join our Power Transmission Sales organization in France, based at Nexans Headquarters in Puteaux – La Défense. You will report to the Land Portfolio Director within Projects & Tenders and play a key role in developing competitive and profitable offers for our onshore cable projects.
You will coordinate multidisciplinary tender teams involving up to 10 contributors from different departments, working closely with Sales, Engineering, Technical, Legal and other internal experts, as well as external stakeholders and subcontractors. Together, you will develop customer-focused solutions that balance technical requirements, commercial competitiveness, risk management and profitability.
In a competitive and evolving market, your contribution will be essential to strengthening Nexans’ position in Power Transmission and securing new business opportunities.
As an Onshore Senior Tender Manager, you will lead the tender preparation process from initial strategy through submission and customer negotiations. You will ensure that each offer meets customer expectations while protecting Nexans’ commercial interests and complying with internal procedures.
Your main responsibilities will include:

Develop competitive tender strategies: Work closely with the Sales Manager to identify critical success factors and develop solutions that strengthen our position with customers.
Manage costs and risks: Challenge cost estimates, technical inputs and assumptions to ensure that all relevant costs, risks and opportunities are properly assessed.
Understand technical solutions: Review and challenge proposed cable designs, installation methods, technical specifications and inputs from external stakeholders, including civil works contractors and suppliers.
Ensure contractual compliance: Work with Legal and Technical teams to ensure that contractual terms, conditions and qualifications adequately address the risks associated with each offer.
Support tender governance: Participate in Internal Tender Reviews (ITRs) and Tender Review Committee (TRC) meetings alongside the Sales Manager, ensuring that customer offers remain within the approved mandate.
Contribute to customer negotiations: Work with the Sales Manager to negotiate solutions and contractual conditions that support the award of profitable contracts.
Drive continuous improvement: Incorporate lessons learned from project execution into future tender cost estimates, risk assessments and processes.
Support commercial strategy: Provide relevant insights and input to Sales and Marketing strategies to help strengthen our market position and achieve sales targets.
You will manage tenders ranging up to several tens of millions of euros, covering both supply-only contracts and turnkey projects. Your ability to coordinate stakeholders, make sound commercial decisions and maintain high standards of quality and delivery will be essential to your success.
You boost your impact by actively promoting Quality and HSE.
