The Scientific Project Management Team is the backbone of our collaborative endeavors, guaranteeing that every project aligns with our mission and vision. Comprising seasoned professionals with diverse backgrounds in genomics, biotechnology, and project management, our team thrives on precision, collaboration, and relentless pursuit of excellence. We are the orchestrators of groundbreaking research, guiding projects from conception to completion with meticulous attention to detail and unwavering dedication.

As the Head of Scientific Project Management, you will play a pivotal role in driving operational excellence and project management within our organization. You will lead our team of Scientific Project Managers, overseeing the planning, execution, and communication of key initiatives. Reporting directly to the CEO, you will collaborate closely with our cross-functional teams to establish alignment with company objectives and timelines.

We’re Eager to Meet You If…

  • You have a Ph.D. in Molecular Biology, Genomics, Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, Structural Biology, Computational Chemistry, or another related discipline or a Master’s in a relevant scientific field coupled with relevant industry leadership and operations experience.

  • You have successfully managed large-scale scientific projects - preferably in the field of AI-based drug design and development.

  • You have a proven track record of at least 5 years in industry programs involving diverse scientific stakeholders, consortia, and long-term commitments.

  • You can navigate complex project landscapes and have led effective collaboration and alignment across multiple parties over extended periods

  • You possess an array of robust project management capabilities: you’re skilled in task prioritization and confidently exercise the art of refusal when necessary.

  • You’re adept at negotiation and are able to adhere to deadlines in the dynamic landscape of a startup environment.

  • You have comprehensive resource management experience— you have the ability to identify and secure resources needed to meet deliverables and schedules

  • With a background in transversal leadership, you’ve successfully liaised with clients, Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs), and stakeholders to ensure satisfaction

  • You have experience adapting to evolving scientific landscapes and stay up-to-date on industry trends

  • You have an entrepreneurial mindset and are familiar with business development processes — in this role, you’ll be at the intersection of Business Development and operations

  • You have excellent communication and interpersonal skills in English and are proficient in business-level French

  • You’ll serve as the pivotal orchestrator, creating seamless communication among teams and departments, fostering synergy across WhiteLab Genomics

  • You’ll lead the Scientific Project Management Team, overseeing resources, ensuring project alignment with company goals, and fostering effective communication

  • You’ll cultivate a dynamic company culture focused on growth and development and will aid in the recruitment of scientific project managers as our organization scales up

  • In collaboration with your team, you’ll be the primary communicator for project updates, engaging with partners, KOLs, and stakeholders to build lasting relationships — you’ll make sure that stakeholders are well-informed and engaged

  • You’ll maintain an our project portfolio, leading decision-making processes and collaborating with team leaders to optimize project delivery and capabilities

  • You’ll keep a vigilant eye on project budgets and take financial responsibility for revenue-linked milestones and strategic allocation of funds for optimal project outcomes

  • You’ll continuously improve project management processes and tools, championing Project Management culture, leading trainings and serving as the main point of contact for project management inquiries

  • You’ll drive the planning and execution of scientific projects by collaborating closely with business development and scientific teams and facilitating clear communication of priorities, tasks, and timelines

  • You’ll provide support in preparing applications for public funding for selected scientific projects, maintaining alignment with funding agency requirements. Your expertise in this area will be instrumental in articulating project goals and structure to align with funding agency requirements

  • You’ll make sure our project portfolio is up-to-date and accurate – you’ll lead regular Project Review meetings, inform executive management about ongoing projects, milestones, issues, and risks, and contribute to major decision-making processes

  • You’ll collaborate with scientific team leaders to optimize team dynamics and collaboration, enhancing project delivery and team capabilities. Additionally, you’ll feed and shape the initiation of new developments and strategic applications

  • You will be responsible for defining your team’s OKRs – you’ll lead discussions regarding company goals and foster an environment of open feedback and continuous improvement
