We are currently seeking an Instrumentation Material Specialist M/F, reporting directly to the Head of Field Instrument, Installation and Tools to join our Instrumentation Control System and Telecom (ICST) department team based in Nanterre in France.

About the mission we offer you:

Within the Instrumentation, Control System and Telecommunication Department, you are taking part, as instrumentation engineer, to international projects. You are in charge of the specification, selection and follow-up of instrumentation material.

Your main responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Write specifications, data-sheets and material requisitions (control valves, ON OFF Valve, pressure safety valves, flow-meters, etc.)
  • Technically estimate vendor offer, issue technical bid tabulations and ensure vendor follow up after order.
  • Review and comment vendor documentation.
  • Lead meetings with vendors.
  • Technically analyse norms and standards related to material you are in charge of and follow their update.
  • Select relevant technology.
  • Coordinate with process engineers and Installation/piping engineers in order to get or provide necessary data.
  • Follow planning requirements and ensure reporting to Instrumentation leader.
  • Work in coordination with inspection department during FAT (Factory Acceptance Test).

 

About you:

We love to hear from you and how you match with this position. To be successful in this mission you should consider the following requirements:

  • You are a graduate engineer with 5 year experience in a similar role.
  • You are able to use tools such as Smart Plant Instrumentation (SPI) or AVEVA Instrumentation.
  • You have the capabilities to follow a technical dossier, to follow a supplier from the invitation to bid up to the reception of the equipment within the factory.
  • Methodical, rigorous and dynamic, you have the sense of the team work.
  • Open minded, curious and adaptable, you are comfortable with a multi-cultural environment, and you are able to work with various partners and environments.
  • You are fluent in English and ready to learn French and are mobile for displacements in France and abroad.
