Société Générale Global Transaction Banking (GTB) includes payment and cash management, cash clearing services, trade services, factoring and foreign exchange services associated to these activities.

GTB integrates all the expertise and services required to facilitate the daily transactional activities of major economic and financial actors both in a domestic and international scope.

As Assistant Middle Officer Cash Management you will support the GTB/Payments & Cash Management team in Country in any Middle Office Activity with Corporates and Non-Bank Financial Institutions. You will report to the Head of the GTB Middle Office.

Products and services to be marketed will include, amongst others:
• Domestic and international means of payment
• Foreign Exchange (when related to cross-border payments)
• Electronic Banking products as well as associated services
• Liquidity Management solutions like cash pooling
• Guarantees

The role requires a strong client service orientation, analytical and communication skills as well as professional integrity at all times.

You will be an effective team player and possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills (both written and verbal).
• Assist the Middle Office with the implementation of cash management products like Electronic Banking (Global Cash, Swiftnet) and Liquidity management (Cash Pool) this in coordination with the International Corporate Desk for implementations covering more countries
• Assist the Middle Office in Risk and Compliance aspects like responding to Anti Money Laundering Requests, Sanctions & Embargoes and KYC anomalies
• Provide consistent, high quality client service and support to achieve high client satisfaction and loyalty
• Respond to reporting requests from Compliance/Risk Operational linked to payments and cash management activities
• Manage/support projects to optimize the workflow between the Front Office, the Middle Office and the European Middle Office
• Act as back up of the other Middle Office colleagues when they are absent

Profile required

PLEASE NOTE that since this program is primarily an international development program, candidates cannot apply for a VIE assignment in their own country of citizenship.

Studies & experience:
• Graduate with a Master's degree from Business/Engineering School or University with a specialization in Finance or similar
• A previous experience in Finance would be appreciated

Language skills:
• Good communication skills English (word, writing) (B2-C1)
• Dutch - an advantage
• French - an advantage

Technical, operational & Soft skills:
• Proficient/Good command of MS Office
• Good communication and presentation skills
• Proficient with Microsoft (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
• Well organized with very good attention to the detail
• Ability to work with multiple stakeholders
• Team player

The VIE assignment in a nutshell

This VIE in Netherlands is to begin as soon as possible but you need to plan 3 months between your application date and the beginning of your VIE assignment. It will last 18 months.

In case a visa is necessary, please make sure your passport is valid up to 6 months after the end of the VIE contract to not delay your departure.

The VIE is a specific contract, under Business France's eligibility criteria, opened to candidates under 28 and from the member states of the European Economic Space. For further information (including your financial indemnities), please see Mon VIE-VIA Business France.
