1.0 Summary of Job Purpose: As a Purchasing Intern, you will play a crucial role in supporting the purchasing department's migration in SAP. This position offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in project management and the intricacies of SAP software, pivotal in modern procurement strategies and operations and to contribute to critical project milestones. You will work closely with buyers and the finance to ensure a smooth transition, maintain data integrity, and optimize purchasing processes. Gain practical, hands-on experience in an SAP environment crucial for future career opportunities in purchasing.

2.0 Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Assist in the preparation and migration of existing purchasing data into the SAP system.
• Support the development and testing of new purchasing processes within SAP.
• Help manage data entry tasks ensuring accuracy and completeness of information.
• Participate in training sessions and help develop training materials for the purchasing team on the new SAP system.
• Assist with troubleshooting and resolving issues during the migration phase.
• Collaborate with IT and purchasing departments to develop reports and analyze data to support decision-making.
• Provide administrative support to the purchasing team as needed.

3.0 Required Competencies; Education / Knowledge / Skills and Abilities:
• Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a bachelor's program in Business, Supply Chain Management, Information Technology, or related field.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
• Strong interest in technology and systems implementation.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
