The position

Job description

Menard Ltd are seeking a Plant Yard Administrator to join their busy plant department in Burscough, to provide a range of specialist and general administrative duties. 

Key Tasks include:

  • Undertake a full range of administrative duties to ensure an efficient service is delivered to the Menard team operating out of the Plant Yard office.
  • Arrange and attend team meetings/conferences as required, to take minutes
  • Perform ad hoc confidential paperwork, as required.
  • Maintain accurate and secure paper based/electronic filing systems.
  • Provide support to the Plant Yard Co-ordinator and provide cover during holiday period.
  • Develop an in-depth knowledge of the business management system
  • Assist in managing daily requests by other yard staff which can include printing, producing spreadsheets/ job sheets, contacting external suppliers for plant yard supplies (skip exchanges, water deliveries etc) using MS 365 tools
  • Assist Yard Manager and Yard Supervisor with organisational paperwork.
  • Ensure compliance with business strategy and procedures.
  • Ensure a relentless focus on safety – WORKSAFE HOMESAFE.

This is a full-time role working 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday.

Preferred experience

The successful candidate will need admin experience in a busy office environment, as well as great organisation, communication and team-working skills. In addition, good IT skills including Microsoft Excel and Word. They will need to maintain confidentiality at all times and ensure everything work done is compliant with our business strategy and procedures.
