The position

Job description

The Payment Group at Swan leverages industry knowledge, payments expertise, and general insight to build and operate the API-based banking products and the platform that power cash collection, cash storage, and money movements for all Swan financial products.

Ultimately, the group is working toward a future in which all the complexities of handling money are hidden from Swan’s partners and end-customers—whether that’s adopting new payment methods, reconciling various entries (technical, accounting, and cash), integrating with banks and financial partners globally, or addressing regulatory obligations.

Within this Group, the Payment Product team sits at the intersection of Strategy, Go-To-Market, Compliance, Design, and Tech. The team oversees all stages of the product lifecycle—from discovery to sale—while aligning with the company’s global strategy and core objectives. The Payment Product team, consisting of Lead Product Managers and Product Managers, ultimately owns the payment product roadmap.

As the Card Issuing & Credit Lead Product Manager, you own the Card Issuing and Credit product area and report to the VP Product & Operations—Payment. You embody our vision of building the best Card as a Service and Credit offer for SMBs in Europe.

As a manager-coach and individual contributor, you support a small and high‑performing team of Product Managers while bringing deep subject‑matter expertise. You:

  • Set and drive a focused, data‑led roadmap aligned with company KPIs and outcomes

  • Grow revenue impact by increasing adoption, activation, usage, and retention across your domain

  • Partner closely with GTM, Data, Compliance, Payment Operations, Design, Docs, and Engineering, and bring insights from partners, end‑customers, and providers into your strategy

  • Stay on top of market dynamics and the competitive landscape to inform decisions

  • Run an efficient, quality‑first delivery framework to ship on time

  • Hire, coach, and develop Product Managers. Set clear goals, give actionable feedback, and foster an inclusive, high‑bar culture

  • Align stakeholders and evangelize your products. Own relationships with key financial providers (card networks, card processors, card manufacturers, lending providers, etc.)

  • Act as Product Manager on priority areas, from owning a squad to leading strategic projects

Preferred experience

You’re a great match if:

  • Bring 5–10 years of product management experience in payments, financial infrastructure, or developer platforms, with exposure to issuing, card programs, and ideally lending

  • Demonstrate strong people management and coaching skills: hire and develop Product Managers, set clear goals, align squads and stakeholders, give actionable feedback, and raise the quality bar consistently

  • Think strategically and execute with discipline

  • Engage enterprise customers confidently and lead high‑stakes, strategic conversations

  • Be technically fluent and partner closely with engineering on APIs and platform design

  • Communicate complex payments and card strategies clearly to both technical and non‑technical audiences

  • Fluency in English; French is a plus

  • Our ideal teammate: Empathetic. Skilled. Frank. We love to challenge each other, and we leave our egos at the door.

It’s okay if you don’t tick all the boxes — don’t let imposter syndrome prevent you from applying! 🙌

Swan is committed to providing a caring work environment for all employees, regardless of age, sex, disability, sexual orientation, race, religion, or belief.
