The position

Job description

We are seeking a Senior QA Engineer with a forward-thinking mindset to join our QA team. This role is pivotal in evolving our current QA stack into a more scalable, maintainable, and intelligent testing ecosystem.

You will be at the forefront of redefining how quality is built into our products—introducing modern tools, methodologies, and experimentation to elevate our QA capabilities.

Your daily missions will include:

  • Champion QA Excellence

    Promote, refine, and scale QA best practices across Splio. Stay ahead of market trends by exploring emerging technologies and methodologies in quality assurance.

    Architect and implement a modern QA strategy focused on intelligent automation and continuous testing.

    Experiment with and integrate AI-powered testing tools to automate test case generation, bug prediction, and test optimization.

    Promote new practice like Behavior-Driven Development (BDD) to enhance collaboration between QA, Product, and Engineering.

  • Feature Team Integration

    Collaborate closely with Product Managers, Developers, and DevOps to ensure quality is embedded from ideation to release.

    Join a cross-functional feature team using agile workflows. Drive quality from within by establishing robust test strategies, automating test suites, and continuously improving testing processes.

  • Hands-on Contribution

    Actively contribute to the QA and application codebase: participate in architecture discussions, conduct code reviews, write and maintain test cases, and support release activities.

    Deploy self-healing automation frameworks to reduce maintenance overhead and improve test resilience.

    Embed QA orchestration into CI/CD pipelines for real-time observability and control.

    Advocate for low-code/no-code testing platforms to democratize test creation across teams.

  • Cross-Team Communication

    Interface regularly with engineering, product, and operations teams to ensure continuous delivery of high-quality software. Advocate for quality throughout the development lifecycle.


Preferred experience

  • Proven experience in manual and automated testing (5+ years preferred)

  • Strong knowledge of QA methodologies, tools, and processes

  • Ability to design and maintain scalable, maintainable test frameworks.

  • Solid understanding of Agile development practices

  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills

  • Ability to mentor junior QA engineers and lead quality initiatives

  • Experience with API testing tools (e.g., Postman, REST Assured)

  • Knowledge of SQL and database testing

  • Exposure to performance and security testing

  • Programming skills in Kotlin, Python, JavaScript

  • Framework/Lib : Selenium, Cucumber, Postman/Newman, Pytest

  • Data : Clickhouse, BigQuery, Kafka, MySQL

  • Dev Env : Gitlab, Docker, K8S

  • Hosting : AWS, GCP
