As a captain, not just a coach, you'll lead by doing while transforming how our teams approach quality from "Gatekeeping" to "Enabling."
This is not a traditional QA Manager position and this isn't about process ownership - it's about business ownership of quality outcomes that directly impact user satisfaction, retention, and business growth. You'll be pioneering a new approach to quality at Deezer, where:
QA Partners act as enablers, not gatekeepers
Quality is embedded throughout the development lifecycle
Developers own the entire test pyramid
Product Managers actively participate in quality validation
Data and production insights drive continuous improvement
Among your responsibilities you will:
Lead QA Partners in their ongoing evolution from testers to enablers and quality coaches
Build and deploy innovative solutions for test creation, QA Brief assistance, and quality validation
Define and champion the transverse quality vision across Core Product teams
Establish quality standards and frameworks that align with business objectives and user experience goals
Drive data-driven quality decisions through implementation of key metrics
Develop cross-functional quality skills by training developers and product managers in quality practices
Promote observability and production monitoring for proactive quality insights
With the other quality leaders you will establish a governance with clear KPIs, ownership, and communication mechanisms for the whole Product & Tech division.
Leadership & Transformation:
Engineering Management with quality-focused teams
