The position

Job description

What you’ll be doing

  • Keep our houses running like well oiled machines - 24/7

  • Regular house tours to get to know the buildings better than anyone, even better than our Members that live in them.  Share that knowledge with the wider team to ensure that the way we design and build our houses meets ever increasing performance standards

  • Be fast and responsive - able to solve maintenance issues quickly and put in place processes so that the same issue doesn’t occur again

  • Put in place systems and work on proactive maintenance strategies, not just reactive maintenance

  • Build relationships with, manage and challenge our vendors to optimise our contracts

  • Manage the intricacies of weekly cleaning to the highest standards, alongside making sure all houses are fully supplied with the right products

  • Monitor and optimise all energy consumption across our portfolio

  • Own the budget and report the key metrics on a monthly basis

  • Coordinate ongoing maintenance and inspections to comply with all relevant laws, codes, and company policies.


Preferred experience

  • You have exceptional judgment and can make sound decisions 

  • You crave autonomy and to build out your own business line 

  • You enjoy working in a high stress, high fun environment that never stops 

  • You have 3+ years experience in Property Management or Facilities Management  

  • Hospitality backgrounds are a major plus, and essential that you have a hospitality mindset 

  • You love receiving calls in the middle of the night because of a flood or a power outage - this is the job for you! (seriously though… it’s for a special type of personality)
