ModaResa is seeking a talented Data Scientist to join our dynamic team. As a Data Scientist at ModaResa, you will play a pivotal role in leading the project of leveraging data to drive strategic decision-making, enhance user experiences, and unlock new opportunities within the fashion ecosystem.

You will be part of an A-player team in an inspiring working environment, all driven by a common goal: building the go-to ecosystem for optimised and sustainable scheduling across suppliers/brands and retailers/buyers worldwide across B2B wholesale.

Mission: You will be responsible for researching and developing the algorithm and services to optimize the agenda of the two sides of Modaresa customers, the brand team members and their clients. You will do this in close collaboration with the business and technical teams. You will help to drive the data architecture to allow the best scheduling optimization for our clients depending on multiple constraints and specific needs.

Main Missions :

  • Data Collection: Develop processes and tools to monitor, analyze model performance and data accuracy and maintain robust data processing pipelines, databases, and APIs to support the company’s product needs.

  • Analytics: Lead the development and implementation of advanced analytics models and solutions to extract value from data.

  • Automation and Tools: Utilize machine learning, deep learning, and other data science techniques to design, develop and optimize algorithms that drive data insights and product performance.

  • Testing: Develop company A/B testing framework and test model quality.

  • Cross-Functionnal collaborations: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business needs, identify data-driven solutions, and translate complex findings into actionable strategies.

  • Continuous Improvement: Stay updated with the latest industry trends and advancements in data science, ensuring our company remains at the forefront of technological innovation.

  • Predictive Analytics: Utilise predictive analytics models to forecast customer behaviour, identify potential churn risks, and recommend proactive measures to mitigate them

Skills/Experience

  • As a motivated and curious individual, you thrive on creating innovative analysis and delivering actionable recommendations. Experience in sales operations, high-growth tech companies, or similar fast-paced environments is ideal (SaaS B2B tech)

  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Information Systems or another quantitative field.

  • Understanding of the general principles of data science, including supervised and unsupervised machine learning, constraint programming, and exploratory data analysis. Excellent data literacy and numeracy skills.

  • Experience using statistical computer languages (R, Python, SQL, etc.) to manipulate data and draw insights from large data sets.

  • Knowledge of a variety of machine learning techniques (clustering, decision tree learning, artificial neural networks, etc.) and their real-world advantages/drawbacks.

  • Experience with distributed data/computing tools: Map/Reduce, Hadoop, Hive, Spark, Gurobi, MySQL, etc.

  • Experience with cloud services (Azure, Google Cloud, AWS) and understanding of distributed computing principles.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for coordinating across teams.

  • A drive to learn and master new technologies and techniques.

  • You have at least worked on research projects or software about scheduling optimization

  • Bonus : A thesis / PhD around constraint programming or any topics close to scheduling optimization


Déroulement des entretiens

  1. We first get to know you through your written introduction stating why you believe we could be a good mutual fit!

    In the same go, we asses your video, along with your CV and portfolio if relevant to your role.

  2. If we want to explore further, we send you a fun home personality test and invite your for a first short introductory culture fit call over google meet (30 minutes)

  3. Home case study (3H).

  4. Live test and assessment of your home test. (45 min)

  5. Reference checks from past professional experiences.

  6. 1 hour in-depth interview on your past professional experience in-person (1H).

  7. Last culture fit interview with founder in person in Paris. (30-45 min).
