The VP Sales co-defines, articulates, implements and steer the New Business company’s strategy. He is in charge of creating the successful conditions and delivering the expected new business target every year with his team.
He/she is a strong manager able to motivate and ensure a highly effective team of account executive & Sales Dev Rep. Upon arrival, his/her team will be organized the following way:
a team of Sales dev Rep led by a team leader
a team of Account Executives addressing the european financial marketplaces led by a team leader
a team Account Executives addressing the european BtoC/BtoB marketplaces who will report directly to him/her
This team, based on company development will evolve over time, and we expect the VP sales to design, recruit and organize the team in the most efficient way both for performances as well as for people development.
The VP sales is also well connected to industry trends, market and competitors' activities, and serves as a business representative at major industry events, conferences or trade shows. He/She leads presentations for business development and is involved in meetings with key business stakeholders.
He/She has strong influencing, problem-solving and negotiation skills. He/She is also required to build and maintain quality relationships with prospects, new customers, stakeholders and other companies.
He/She will report to the company Chief Commercial & Marketing Officer and will be a member of the commercial & marketing management team.
Responsibilities:
Co-Develop with his management and roll out a comprehensive sales strategy to maximize sales opportunities.
Hire, manage, organize & motivate the Sales team in creating the right management conditions for his team to strive & deliver
Collaborate with members of the Marketing team to penetrate key markets as well as with his key interface within commercial department as well as across the company
Work with the customer relationship management (CRM) systems and use the guidelines to ensure a proper data quality and funnel management
Develop an efficient lead handling process to ensure maximum output from various lead generations channels
Investigate & review factors impacting sales performance and bring on-going improvements
Monitor changes in the industry and leverage them for business opportunities.
Participate in forums to keep abreast of new changes in the industry and practices.
Provide advice when preparing bid documents and integrated proposals for key accounts.
Provide & steer sales incentive structure and key performance indicators to help monitor targets.
Influence senior stakeholders within customers' organizations and premier buyers in the industry.
Provide input to the Content Development team based on customer and industry feedback
Technical skills
Payment expertise
French, english, a 3rd language is a plus
You are comfortable with Salesforce
Having experience working with Marketplaces is a plus

Strong track record in recruiting and scaling sales & SDR teams

Experience
+10 years of experience, +5 years of people management
Having worked & managed people across european countries
Having worked in scale up organization or equivalent
