The E-Commerce team is looking for a Senior Digital Analyst in Amsterdam!

The purpose of the Digital Analyst at Decathlon is to provide strategic insights that drive business decisions and optimize results. They work closely with operational teams (Product, Marketing, Engineering) and with Digital Analysts in countries to gain the necessary understanding of the performance of the online business in Decathlon. The Digital Analyst translates Digital Data into Insights, using these to provide recommendations to their business teammates to take appropriate decisions, driving improvements in business performance.

You will be required to understand the work, questions and actions being taken by the global Ecommerce team, and to provide them with the intelligence they need. This intelligence will be extracted from your analysis of Digital data from multiple sources (and working with the data team for other sources and information). You will need to understand website and app visitor behavior, how to identify and interpret it. You will be a translator, able to simplify and explain data to the end consumers, working with key business team mates to bring this context and knowledge to bigger teams.

You will have a global scope, but work also in synergy with local country teams while supporting the build of a state-of-the-art Digital Analytics organisation for the biggest worldwide sport ecosystem.

Our core Digital Analytics toolkit is Amplitude (currently completing the migration from GA), GTM & an internal server side TMS, Tableau for dashboarding, Medallia for VoC and multiple UX tool options.

As a Decathlon Senior Digital Analyst, you will be expected to have:

Specific Skills/Experience

  • At least 5 years' experience in digital analytics
  • Web Analytics Tools Experience (GA3/4, Piano Analytics, Amplitude, Adobe Analytics, …);
  • Analysis Skills & Techniques - Spreadsheet software(Excel/Google Sheets/…), SQL/Python are a plus;
  • Dashboarding Tools (Tableau, Power BI, Looker Studio…).

Technical Skills

  • Capable of understanding the technical setup and configuration of tracking in a website or app.
  • Ability to define the true business questions and then the approaches/techniques to answer these questions.
  • Have knowledge and experience with analysis skills & techniques to develop advanced analysis and understand the journey of online and offline customers.
  • Design of dashboards that are simple for non data practitioners to understand but equally powerful for them to get the insights they need.
  • Ability to explain Digital Analytics concepts to others and train them in what they need to know, especially in the right approach to understanding people’s behaviour on a website or app.

Work Skills

  • Provide to operational stakeholders (Digital team) adaptable reports and analysis to allow decisions and evaluation of online ecommerce;
  • Work with a dedicated Data and Business team to create advanced analysis on the impact and evaluation of online traffic and its consequences for offline commerce;
  • Collaborate with an international team to adjust scopes, necessities and cross-country KPIs to push forwards on online commerce.
