Our lovely Asian Development team’s mission is to launch and grow Asian D2C marketplaces, develop local market strategy and targets thanks to local teams based in Tokyo, Seoul and Hong Kong. Meanwhile, we also own critical operations leverages including local & cross-border Asian supply growth and Asian Quality & Customer Care.

This position’s core responsibility is to offer Back Market’s value propositions to Asian consumer electronics brands aiming to enrich our diversification categories’ selection thanks to brands’ direct supply. Based in Paris/ Berlin/ Bordeaux.

YOUR MISSION (if you accept it): 🥇

  • Develop brands team’s growth strategies and plans aligning with Back Market’s category expansion vision and objectives
  • Onboard Asian consumer electronics brands, bring the most competitive offers, rocket diversification categories’ revenue, thanks to your excellent negotiation skills
  • Build long-lasting relationships with C-Level executives and with key decision makers in your target accounts
  • Feed and monitor your portfolio by providing a consultative, solution oriented sales, marketing and logistic approach
  • Lead cross-team projects to tailor optimal solutions for brands
  • Be proficient in leveraging data to track performances, analyze trends and create projections
  • Help to elaborate Back Market business strategy thanks to your field feedback and constantly explore more profound collaboration possibilities
  • Travel internationally for offline events and onsite visits

  • SKILLS:
  • EXCELLENT English communication with fluent Mandarin level 
  • Previous experience in a ecommerce brand or retail preferred, ideally in a business development role or category management
  • Experiences in leading complex projects with multicultural stakeholders
  • At least 6 years experience in related fields or missions
  • High-level communication skills
  • Attitude:
  • Proactive and energetic attitude with the desire to be a key player 
  • Resourceful, scrappy, and creative — if a playbook doesn't exist yet, you are excited to figure it out and build it for the whole team to use
  • You have a great personal charisma that your prospects would love to invite you to their house party after an intense negotiation session! :)
