Our engineering department, the Bureau of Technology

Representing a third of our overall team, the Bureau of Technology is structured around some concepts introduced by the foundational “Spotify model”: Squads, Tribes, and Chapters.

Spread across 5 tribes, the ~20 Product squads are the cross-functional, autonomous teams building and operating services to deliver value to customers and suppliers. They are grouped in tribes addressing a common theme. These Product squads are supported by the ~10 Platform squads which address the cross-cutting challenges, as well as the CyberSecurity team. 

As an Experienced IT Specialist, you will work closely with all Engineering teams, Product Managers, and Business partners in the Care & Shipping group.

Main technical challenges

Back Market, as an e-commerce platform, is composed of lots of different functional parts, each being owned by a particular squad.

As an Experienced IT Administrator, you will face the following challenges:

-Administration of tooling used in Care & Shipping (Main tools used today: Zendesk, Salesforce, Talkdesk, Workato and Zapier)

-Operate after-sales tooling in a marketplace operating globally with 700+ agents answering ~150k customer requests per month.

-Understand the needs of customers, sellers, and agents for BM.

-Collaborating with business, product, and engineeringIntegrating tooling with in-house software, partnering with engineers.

What you will do in this role

 We are looking for an Experienced IT Administrator to help us to provide an optimal after-sales experience to our customers, setting up tooling (e.g. authentication, permissions) and in the Day-to-day administration (e.g. setting up agent ticket routing).

You will be working in an agile "build it and run it" environment where engineering teams build, launch, monitor, and support the product that they own. 

We are looking for passion in creating a great after-sales experience for the customers managing the software administration and bringing new points of view to the company. As well as a good team player supporting colleagues and creating a learning and sharing environment!

English must be a no-brainer as you will join an international team dispatched in different locations around the world (US/FR/ES/JP).

Key responsibilities for this position as an Experienced IT Administrator: Produce & Optimize

  • Working autonomously on administrative tasks within the team's tooling ecosystem, ramping up on new tooling when applicable
  • Set up a mechanism to track changes and monitor tooling health.
  • Demonstrating professional collaboration with teammates and peers, working in close collaboration with after-sales business, product managers, and engineering teams.
  • It's plus if you have the following certifications:
  • Salesforce (Salesforce Administrator, Service Cloud Consultant)

    Zendesk (Support Administrator Expert)
