About the role

Zeffy is supporting 25,000 nonprofits with the only truly free fundraising platform.

The challenge? Many other platforms claim to be free. But if you look at the fine print, they typically charge an average fee of 5% per transaction, totalling $3B annually in North America.

As the first and only PR & Brand Manager, your work is to convey our unique messages to reach two millions nonprofits in the U.S.

Your end game? Having converted the existing business momentum and product popularity into a legacy in the hearts and minds of nonprofits as The Brand that amplifies their impact.

More precisely you will :

  1. Articulate messages that resonate with nonprofits by:

    • Gaining a profound understanding of the needs and challenges facing nonprofits, as well as the current state of the fundraising market.

    • Understanding the key ideas underlying Zeffy’s mission.

  2. Get the word out there by:

    • Executing PR campaigns that get Zeffy into national media.

    • Placing content in areas where nonprofits gather information, such as online media, forums, podcasts, conferences, TV, or any other media we realize can be impactful!

    • Implementing brand elements on the most visible pages of Zeffy’s product (e.g. our fundraising forms are visited by one million people monthly).

  3. Measure your impact and iterate!


Preferred experience

  • You possess excellent written and oral English skills and are known as an excellent storyteller. You have the ability to express complex messages in simple, impactful ways.

  • You have 5+ years of success in a Public Relations & Brand role.

  • You have a track record in increasing brand visibility.

  • A plus: You have experience working in the U.S. market.

We are open to considering candidates with higher seniority if they are the right fit, and to discuss a fair pay.

The range:

  • Our ideal seniority level: 5+ years experience expertise as a PR & Brand Specialist

  • The corresponding salary range: CAD 100,000 to CAD 120,000 + stock options
